The early 2000s were so much simpler. You had good music, trance/alternative rock was booming like crazy, games gave you a fun experience and the full package for nothing more, people actually interacted with eachother, no bullshit social media like snapchat or tiktok, fuck we grew up beside technology. I remember it was hang out outside with neighborhood friends for a while, then when it got late come back in and watch some good toons/play some games. Wish we could go back.
That's a place some of us would forever choose to stay in. I give no $hits about what anyone thinks at this point. Those times made sense, they were OUR times. The only mistake we made was thinking that it can only get better from that point on. Look at the world now, with tictocs and NFTs and bs like that.... We are the last generation that grew up in the analog and got accustomed to the digital. We can see both sides of the coin.
@@AgeofPC I must admit I quite dig the technology (computer graphics, programming, electronic music from synthpop and EBM to rave and techno), but what I cannot stand in modern times are sociopath assholes like Zuckerberg or Musk or Bezos and other rich jerks who own state of the art algorithms but they are unwilling to share. Fuckers are literally sleeping on piles of gold, while rest of us must face the consequences of covid19, culture war, rising inflation and predatory economics.
@@Avalante1978 I was still a teen in the 90s but man, what I wouldn't have given to go overseas to go to Cream or Gatecrasher or Ministry; every place catered to a general 'style' and you knew you were always in for a good time. I still keep tracks from 1993-2005 on rotation in my iPod.

Fun Fact: Jeremy Dawson & Chad Petree of Slyder (aka Cloud2Ground) came up with the concept of this song back in 2000. They disbanded the group to form another (The Shiny Toy Guns) with frontwoman Carah Faye Charnow in 2002. They remade the song, naming it "You Are The One" in 2006.

"... back in 2015...” fuuuuuuck I'm old. I graduated in '99, in the military @2000, and recall this whole sadly brief era was just... amazing for trance/mood/EDM. Glad I got to spend some of that military time in panhandle of Florida - it was a MASSIVE EDM scene, saw such iconic DJ's as Oakenfold, Miles, BT, Digweed, Polliwog... Such good vibes.
I always turn to this, on Rise FM, whenever im playing GTA3. I recently downloaded GTA 3 on a 6 year olds tablet, now I'm playing it again time to time, after all these years that game is still fun to play.
one of the greatest tracks ever. i would like to say its a trance anthem but it was always so under-rated. GTA brought it to the surface, should be on every trance classics mix, but unfortunately it doesnt :/ 10/10

Eemilxd But that's what makes Trance to Trance. Build up (sometimes 1 oder 2 min, sometimes 4 min). But that's the way it is. I don't like it when people just listen to the 2 mins in the middle. By hearing just the 2 mins climax, it's not the same (no building up, tension etc.) :D Awsome track by the way
Played this on GTA3 right as I graduated high school and it was newly released, never forgot. Found a track of it on a torrent buried somewhere, someone had slowed it way down (I guess to disguise it further) and using GoldWave, tinkered and sped it up, eventually finding 1.2x was the sweet spot and blast it at the gym and in the car to this day.
I wish they would remaster/remake GTA III. Exactly as it was for the most part (characters, soundtrack, map design) but with the GTA V engine. This song while driving off ramps was the truth.

Yes they were openly Christian when they were called Raving Lunatics and the version of this song they released under Raving Lunatics had voice clips of a man preaching saying 'Jesus is the only one.' What you have to understand is Morpheus = Father Neo = Son (Jesus) Trinity ( as in the Holy Trinity) = Holy Spirit
This was a side project of a Christian Electronic (yes thats a thing) duo called Cloud2Ground. Nowadays the two of them play in the much more successful Shiny Toy Guns whose first album was nominated for a grammy.
