A grant is simply a sum of money that is given for a particular purpose. A grant is FREE MONEY and does not have to be paid back. Here is a link to grants for those who are disabled helpdesk.newmobility.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=2971 Also, as long as the grants listed are not specifically for minorities you can apply. For instance, the FedEx grant was for everyone. It is now closed but will reopen next year. Sogal has grants for women specifically, it doesn't specify race. Start there and don't forget about sba.gov and grants.gov.

Thank You! 😊 I actually have a PO Box but if you have a physical business address I would use those, its free. Having a PO Box costs me $35 per month. Also, when applying for grants, especially government grants, it can take several weeks, even months to receive a response. Just apply to all that you qualify for and wait it out. In the end, it is worth the wait! 🎉 Good Luck

If you own a home renovating business you can apply for any grants in which you meet the qualifications. Checkout HUD grants and your local state for home renovating grants or programs.

No you do not need an LLC to apply for grants unless it is required by the grant issuer. Some people have sole proprietorships for home based businesses which is perfectly fine, unless it is listed as a requirement by the grant issuer. Hope this helps. 😊

Hey girl, hey! lol I have not done a business loan video but coming soon. As far as having an LLC and EIN, it is not needed for all grants but that is something they will call out in the requirements section. However, I highly recommend for anyone who has a business to apply for an EIN and LLC. You will need the EIN to open a business bank account, apply for business licenses and file your tax returns. Your LLC will separate you from the business and protect your personal assets. Also, LLC's don’t pay corporate taxes and instead pass profits through to their owners as personal income. This will give you savings by avoiding double taxation.

Sure. If you have a business you qualify for most of the grants. Just check the qualifications. For most of the grants if you sell a physical product or have a brick and mortar location, you will qualify.

Thanks so much! ❤️ You will need to seek out multiple grants that give you a total of $50k at this point in the year. I would also search for local grant opportunities. U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) is part of the U.S. Department of Commerce and offers ongoing funding opportunities for projects that support regional and national economic development. Building a mini supermarket fits right into this bucket. Good Luck! 🙏🏾

Short answer is NO you do not need an LLC to apply for grants. Long answer - You can be a sole proprietor and apply for grants but some grant issuers have requirements and having an LLC may or may not be a requirement. A sole proprietorship is an unincorporated business owned and run by one person. A limited liability company is a legal entity formed at the state level. An LLC exists separately from its owners-known as members. In any case, both are businesses so it truly depends on the requirements of the grant issuer.

Honestly it really all depends on the panel who is reviewing the applications. I try to put as much emotion and passion into my responses when applying for grants. However, in my experience I have not been awarded all grants I have applied for. It truly just depends. Pray about it and keep applying! 😊 Don't give up, don't get discouraged. You got this!
