12:00 This is an amazing change. Probably my favorite of all TWW changes. Being forced to do a 1 hour cooldown event like the Superbloom to get Veteran gear really sucked. Those events will also be more fun if you are doing them when YOU want to, especially when you have a lot of alts. The stress of completing these weeklies will definetly go down for a lot of casual players.
4:40 that choice node change is huge actually for m+, that's the node that is a choice between ray of frost damage and ray of frost AOEing. Having both makes ray a hard lock for m+ builds most likely, only downside is ray really doesnt interact with any hero talents so it could end up being kinda out of place rotation wise
Enhancement still can't play the Totemic hero talent as it's still trying to replace WFT but is no longer able to. Great to know they're listening to the feedback that we aren't able to give them.
Not a priority in the week or two leading to prepatch compared to the base talent trees. They've got another month and a half to fix bugs in the hero talents, they've got like 2 weeks to make sure the prepatch is playable.
Agree how can people test a spec or hero talents when the main ability is disabled....Imagine playing colossus arms and not being able to use demolish because it's disabled and the whole hero tree is based off it
Funny thing about the Enhance Elemental Blast revert - they never actually nerfed EB, they somehow nerfed chain lightning by 25%, so this patch they basically "reverted" nothing :D. They did fix/remove the chain lightning nerf though this build
Can you make a video discussing what the first two weeks are likely to look like for folks that do medium to high end-game content? Just trying to understand what level of time commitment I'll need to put in this time around (in part so I know how much time off I want to take).
7:25 I completely agree with you here, I think every dps spec should have some form of AoE baseline spell/skill regardless of talents. Take Warlocks in beta for example, all specs have to take Implosion, Seed of corruption, Rain of fire no matter what build you are making so why not just make all three baseline for each spec and instead put another talent in place of the aoe spell?
Wonder how consistent they will be with patches. Imagine them adding the .0.5 and .1 open world event thingies like we've had in dragonflight that all had their own currencies and that were all... of varying engagingness. I would be surprised if they went "this is just another optional way to engage with the rewards, you may continue doing the same stuff as before and will get the new rewards too". Usually, they would put a new currency on their new content to make it unavoidable (for world content players) to still go to the new stuff 50+ times.
Rogues have had changes every patch cycle they are just in. Stealth so you can't see them. My rogue is on the bench for dk priest and maybe surv hunter.
I know how you feel. Believe it or not, demon hunter has actually had fewer changes than rogue this whole alpha/beta lol. It's hard not to feel bad when every week you see nothing for your class and a book for the same 3 classes.
Clearcasting is on a function of mana spent on live too - For every 1250 mana consumed (0.5% max on live) you have a 1% chance to get clearcasting. We probably have enough clearcasting stacks anyway but removing excess is good. Having infinite clearcasting would make arcane very broken. Unfortunately these nerfs feel like they're just hitting everything so hopefully this doesn't completely kneecap arcane
Less clear casts, less missiles which now do less damage and generate less arcane charges. You'll feel it in the dmg meter but also in the rotation. It'll be a lot more arcane blast/explosion orientated once again.
In Dragonflight, some of the Chest events were most often bugged and they have not fixed them yet, which is a major red flag for TWW knowing that similar events will exist.
and arcane is still gigabusted op ooper dooper strong. dw, tuning is not finished. the nerf will come. the buffs will come. they won't and can't really leave it like this.
@@Alex-RS91 ahaha. Usually yeah, but it's never this bad. Arcane simming about 1.25 mill ST dps when other classes are around the 750-900k mark. 4% of that 1.25 mill is tier set. It's a bunch of legit BUGS making the damage that high. Boomkins are on the opposite end of the spectrum simming legit tank damage.
Is this the weekly beta build? Surely not, its not listed as a beta and is on the wrong day. Weird that it's listed as a ptr build instead when the changes it's doing are the exact stuff happening in the weekly beta build
Tuning is mostly done on both the PTR and beta servers each week - sometimes one gets hotfixed and not the other, but the other gets those changes in the next weekly build. Weekly tuning on the Prepatch PTR will be done on beta as well.
While arcane is getting a bunch of notes each week, the current version of the spec has some hyper degenerate gameplay. I'm talking spamming arcane barrage with no charges because it's the best way to get clear casting. Arcane base abilities are too weak and this would lead to our hero talent tree doing 35+% of our total damage.
High voltage nerf is the biggest. It means you cant just missiles barrage missiles barrage like a boss. We're going back to arcane blasting and exploding
in the end the only fun thing in this game is gonna be exclusively on PTR and then everything that's fun on PTR will be made to be overly complex/clunky on LIVE and people will quit as soon as the new poe league starts
Is it weird that im kinda happy with the Arcane nerfs, despite having been an Arcane main for 6+ years? I have a friend who wanted to play Arcane purely because it was doing absurdly high damage, and was probably gonna be super meta, but with all the nerfs he's less likely to, which means we wont have 2 arcane mages in all our m+ groups. I just have issues with 2 of the same spec in a small m+ group of friends.
If you've been an 'arcane main' (seriously who 'mains' a spec instead of a class) for 6+ years you are a turbocasual and your opinions on performance don't matter.
@@Daimyo- Ok, oddly rude comment aside, Mage main then, with a heavy focus on Arcane, ive played the other 2 specs a good bit too, but Arcane is where im most comfortable. I also wasnt entirely giving an opinion on performance, outside of being glad it might not be super meta, due to having a friend who's a surpreme meta chaser, and i dont like the idea of having 2 of the same spec (maybe even class) in the same small m+ group of friends i run with. As for being a casual, probably? Its honestly alot more fun than you'd think to not push for the absolute highest of content, im happy in my 2.7k io range.
@@MegaNever2010Nobody's stopping you from enjoying the game at your level. That said there's layers to all of this. A spec becomes meta if they got over the top damage on top of good amounts of cc and survivability (and a raid buff). If the damage sucks they won't be meta. Therefore the only thing required even for you to stop arcane being a meta spec is the DPS getting nerfed. Blizzard didn't only nerf the DPS, they killed the flow of the rotation and the mobility of the spec and made it clunky instead. That benefits neither you, me, Venruki or professional raiders. It also doesn't benefit the haters of the Mage class. All they want is our DPS to suck, but they don't win anything extra if our rotations feel like crap to play. Maybe this helped to explain myself a bit.
Demon Hunters are in such a bad spot and just totally ignored! But hey mages get their 8th change of the beta! Smh just get rid of the class at this point
Still no decent changes for feral. I guess the 3 people that still play this unloved spec are gonna have to spam every video and post like all the shaman complainers did in order to see any changes
