It's the stainless steel nela superflex I have I see it lasting ages but It took a bit of sussing out regards when to use it I wouldn't use it to 1st flatten unless I was using the sponge first if you know what I mean it could paint up bumpy
Good vid great closeups I use your method today on a wall today a rendered at bottom ,mixture of old lime wash plasterboard ,bonding etc turn out a treat I did use a steel trowel st thr end no flex is that what u did ?
I will only 1st flatten with my superrflex if I'm using sponge and the walls a bit in and out but I try and 1st flatten after sponge with a normal SS trowel then use the flexi after that alot of the times I've just been using a normal trowel from start to finish really just depends on the wall👍 lol it was some1 who subbed that suggested that i try using a normal trowel for first flatten after sponge
@@onpointplastering thank you i appreciate the reply. So pva is used to seal the wall and slow down suction. Not to help the plaster stick? Would u wait for it to dry over bonding or leave it tacky after a few coats because bonding sucks the moisture out very fast i find? Even after pva.
@@Fraz84 just depends what time u have I've finished over tacky Pva bonded walls and dry pva over bonded walls if the bonding is really dry I will pva it 3 or 4 times depending on the size of the area do you key your bonding work as in leave a light scratch pattern on it I've still to upload on this1👍
@@onpointplastering thanks mate probably where im going wrong im not pva'ing the wall enough when its really dry. Hard work keep pva'ing it, especially when theres loads of walls bonded out. Feels like if painted the room a few times before ive even started plastering lol. Yeah i key it mate. i just use a brush to leave key, or a devels float. Ive used an old sponge float too. Thank you for the advice 😊👍🏼
