Hey George another great vid, question for you, Have you ever been so engrossed in fishing from a raised bank and so much so that for some reason you we're not aware of the rattle of chains somewhere behind you, suddenly you become slightly aware when you hear a cow mooing behind you, suddenly the brain realizes that that sound was a lot more masculine than feminine, You slowly turn around and come pretty much face to face with a massive Bull snorting and pawing the dusty ground, No invitation needed, Pulled the ejection seat handles immediately, without thinking dived off the bank, half fell/stumbled across that river as fast as jelly legs would allow,I'm here telling so I got away I guess, OH THE JOYS OF FISHING, you can't beat it.
Hi George, I have watched this particular video several times…. I wonder if you would be better with a 4# rod. I noticed that your 3# was bending at the cork grip due to the size of the fish you were catching. Look George you are the messiah on fly fishing….I just momentarily wondered if a 4# would be better. Perhaps I am…once again totally wrong…just a thought. Happy Days. As always, kind regards Ken.
I see the point you're making alright Kenneth, however I think that the difference between a 3 and 4 weight is negligible at best,I have found a 3 weight best suits my style of fishing for the most part,I do however use other weights from time to time. Thanks for the compliment by the way.
Another great video George...love being on the river with you trout 'hunting' and small stream dry fly fishing for wild fish with stealth...very skillful and helpful tips ( e.g. the little pause technique when striking particulary with small flies - easier said than done in my case :)...very enjoyable as ever...thank you very much
Some fine fishing and catching!! You had quite the fan club following along!! I've had some close encounters of the wrong kind with cattle in years past.
