I have a hand cranked tool fetish ha ha , I'm always on the lookout for new off grid labour savers from the past. last week i manage to find a very nice large 2 speed hand drill with a large shoulder rest on it from a car boot sale ( works a treat ! ). Im sure a solar flair is going to knock out the grid in the future, like i mentioned in a vid, all the ingredients are there, a weakening all time low earth magnetic shield and the new solar cycle is just beginning. We got very lucky only a few weeks back as a massive solar eruption travelled away from earth. It was describe by solar scientist as a very significate event for grid and communication disruption if it was earth directed. Dont worry im not too paranoid or worried , ha ha just like to be ready for what gets thrown our way in case times get hard and also i love the old fashion ways/life and tools, they are just the best ! the tools last for a lifetime ! thanks Johnny keep safe and well. Hello Dr prepper, as you know i like to be prepared for the unexpected, these hand cranked gadgets will save plenty of time if the grid ever fails. I have a good hand cranked tool collection including , a grinding wheel for sharping , a 2 speed large hand drill and plenty of hand cranked kitchen stuff. Hello Katie, thanks for your idea, we also use to grow in a small space, just 20 by 30 feet garden and we also had 3 chickens. Every space possible was used. You definitely don't needs loads of land to be a good step closer to self sufficiency. i will talk about this in a future video very soon. thanks and take good care.

Hi mate, I have the exact same bean slicer as you but had never used it until I watched your vid, if a bean gets stuck never poke it in with your finger and turn the handle because you will cut your finger like I did, keep it up and cheers

I’ve just been to an old Victorian walled garden and green house lots of vintage garden equipment, which I’m sure with a bit of oil and TLC would still work as well as the day they were made. Great video as always, just pulled my onions today as the weather was looking iffy got them laid out on the kitchen table drying off. TRrents searching ebay for Spong, we did after watching a previous video manage to get hold of a cream maker so will be giving that a go, need to watch video again for ratios. I guess the butter and milk ratio, but thicker cream needs more butter, i also add a little honey then its luxury cream ! The cream maker comes out for homemade apple pies here. Hello, i once heard a news story of someone making wine in an old old cast iron bath and they give themselves lead poisoning ! but its sounds like they was a bit dumb before hand. I collect hand cranked tools just in case the grid goes down ( not paranoid ! ha ha) , we also get many power cuts here in bad weather as our electricity lines run on poles for miles and miles. our longest power cut has been 2 days. Last week i got a large 2 speed hand cranked drill. Its very old and still works a treat, a great boot sale find for just a fiver. In the future i want an old washing mangle. The trouble is that the current system only works on mass consumerism so things are not built to last anymore and god i hate bloody plastic things that break easy ! Thanks pal thats just cost me £18.90 on ebay for a spong 630 Already got the bean slicer and 2 or 3 old mincers proper old tackle that just does the job for ever. *edit* just to clear up,when i said 2 or 3 old mincers i meant meat mincers lol
