This was a sick episode, hats off to Tom Welling, he killed it as a villain playin against himself as the hero. X amount of years later and Smallville is still number one.
Tom welling is such a well rounded actor he played so many different roles in this show. Bizarro, clark Luthor, red kryptonite clark, lionel in Clark's body, kal el. He put so much work in it's insane. Real shame he didnt choose to continue acting full time hes one of the unsung greats I feel.
I feel disappointed, but in the official continuation of the comic series, the 11th season, land 2 (from where Clark Luthor comes) is destroyed and in a deleted scene, shortly after the end of this episode, Chloe of Earth 2, along the league of justice, kill Clark Luthor in an ambush, with Kryptonite bullets, even he trying to claim that he has changed.
I was always yelling at Clark to be more careful before speeding into a room, where, surprise! more meteor rock (kryptonite) was waiting. Clark Luthor, on the other hand, appears to have led a very selfish life, including the attempts to purge his world of meteor rock. This contrast was a nice reminder that Clark Kent isn't a hero just because he uses powers to save people but because he values the lives of others enough to risk his own. And maybe I could go a little easier on him.
Yes, and even I think that Jor-El already knows who Ultraman did, because you know is a fu@ing super computer. So, showing himself so open with Clark Luthor it's very good from him
This felt like a parallel to the end of SV with Lionel from another Earth giving his heart to save this Lex's life when he made that agreement with Darkseid.
It took him a long time to accept Jor-El, but he did in the end. He’s trying to help CL do the same. Clark May have stumbled and turned his back on Jor-El/The Fortress, but he eventually learned to accept him and call him Father.
Ironically enough, his world gets destroyed. You can read Smallville season 11 (comic book). Earth-2 is no more at the end of it. But Clark Luthor has some flashbacks in it.
He wouldn't be apple pie boy scout, but he'd still make a good superman, better cause he'd relate more to humanity. He'd probably be a super version of Batman
I know. I remember watching this episode. I think of this as the most botched and wasted opportunity in Smallville's history. I didn't mind the ending I just hate how there was hardly any action throughout
Tom does an awesome job in this - great writing, directing and an actor that just knocks it out of the park. Oh, and cassidy freeman - as beautiful as she is talented - amazing performance as well.
This is why Lex *is* a hero of sorts. Look what can happen to Superman if he goes unchecked. Lex's evil keeps Clark Kent balanced against him - thus making him a good guy.
@Clark Kent (Earth-167) I want to know what happened to the Earth 2 Pete Ross,Lana Lang, and Kara. I can only speculate; Pete and Lana was killed during Clark Luthor attacked on Smallville graduation day
A pity that he dies and does not have time to do good in his land. In the official sequel to the comic series, Season 11, Land 2 (from where Clark Luthor comes) is destroyed and in a deleted scene, shortly after the end of this episode, Chloe of Earth 2, along the Justice League, kill Clark Luthor in an ambush, with Kryptonite bullets, even he trying to claim that he changed.
As much as I liked this show when I was a kid, the major disappointment was that around 95% of the "fights" were extremely lackluster. I guess they didn't have the budget, IDK, but come on! They could have Clark throw at least a few punches every now and then!
I read he died during this epoisde offscreen. I believe Chole on that earth shot him into the head with a kryptonite bullet which killed him permanently.
Why did Lionel still name him Clark on this earth. Because Martha gave him his name from her maiden name, so where did Lionel get it from especially since all his kids has an L name
JOHN 3:16 FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.
Este fue uno de los episodios más significativos e impresionantes de Smallville. Una actuación totalmente creíble de parte de Welling. Cambiar de ser tan malo a buscar el cambio de actitud en un mismo episodio. Un aplauso para estos actores y actrices

Wow when evil Clark Luthor aka Clark Kent lookalike more evil and stupid just said “father” the late great Christopher Reeve said the same thing in these Superman movies 1,2, & 4 (1978,1980,1987) that was coincidentally related to smallville season 01-10 (2001/2002-2010/2011) thanks buddy peace.
I need to find a way to get my cells to take in as much solar radiation and make it so I don't fucking die, I need all Clark's powers! I need them very badly right now, I want to get from A to B or 3 - 4 miles within seconds rather than an hour or so and sometimes having to walk which might take around 2.5 - 3 hours because of the no money situation at times. It's hard and I assume hard for some of you lot? Either way, I wish I could have the powers of an alien or Superman to be precise
