They way he looks at HER, much love and passion, something he missed in SV9&10 The other thing is which no one ever acknowledge, the way Lana stood by him and the power she has to give him after she knew his secret, the way she talks him through his way to deal with Kara and himself, she was more like the voice of reason to him,,,, he feared how she woukd react, yet she embraced him and was the voice to his soul ❤️ gotta love this girl, she did not allow traumas to take her beautiful soul away

All the seasons were literally building up to this moment for me and I had to savour every second - Lana KNOWING about Clark's powers and having a NORMAL conversation of understanding and gentleness and honesty OH HOW I HAD BEEN WAITING FOR THIS *holds this moment and never lets go*
Bruh I have to comment on this. On my very first rewatch, since I was a kid. I quit to show at S5 and remember wishing for Clark and Chloe romance and kinda being tired of Lana. Watching now, Im literally dying halfway through S3 after the constant dissapointment between Clana and I wish for it to happen so bad.. I hate that bingewatching is a thing of nowadays and Im watching spoilers, because I'm a weak bastard. But man, can't I wait to get to this moment. Im seeing a lot of hate for Lana's character past S5, so Im glad to see your comment.

a bitter and sweet moment between CLANA,,, CLANA have always been famous for their heart-felt convos, the thing with Lana is she listens to him and provides the other angles or potentials,,, she tries to push him to be himself, and just accept his powers as a gift! not a burden he has to HIDE,,and it ripped at my heart for Lana to tell him that he didnt know her as well as she thought he would! indeed, Clark always allowed others to come between them, besides hiding his powers for so long!
Clark's arrival on earth ended up killing Lana' parents. Something he always felt guilty about even though he was an infant. That was another reason he kept his origins secret from Lana.

Kandice Angel It was Clark who broke it off, not Lana. We all know that he did that not because he didn’t love her but wanted to protect her. But Lana doesn’t know that! Whitney, Jason and Lex were just rebound guys. She dated them only to *forget Clark.* But when he (Clark) gave her hope to be together, she immediately broke up with other guys. In “Visage” she refused to marry Whitney, in “Forever” she broke it off with Jason (after the prom in previous episode), in “Promise” she was gonna leave Lex after learning that Clark actually loved her but broke up with her to protect her.

He constantly claimed he wanted to "protect" her only to hurt her more in the process...Lana carried all of her baggage with Clark into her other relationships with Lex, Jason etc... She could never fully move on and Clark wouldn't let her either...When she tried to forget about him...Clark comes with his judgement/indecisiveness and wanting her back. Any girl other than Lana would've left him ...Clark screwed up with Lana...Lana was there for him through it all...Lois didn't have to put up with half as much as Lana did.
I’m a huge Clois fan in every single Superman reiteration, but it’s OK not to hate on Lana and Clark either because it’s OK for people to have many different loves in their lives. Young CK and Lois wouldn’t have worked out- she was older, had many boyfriends, and preferred men of action while Clark was still trying to get the nerve to ask a girl on a date and was generally an uptight farmboy dealing with his life&death alien-on-earth-secret-identity saga. He needed to grow up. Lois needed many years of an attractive and brave friend by her side to assuage her fears that a heroic mission means her guy will neglect her the way that her dad and Oliver did. If they got together in high school, it would have been a disaster because she’d emasculated him and Clark would never have space/privacy to explore his regular vs superhero life. Lana was a gentler beginning. Their love was potent but their relationship so dysfunctional. I wish the writers gifted them with a better resolution the way that Oliver and Lois and Clark and Chloe got to resolve their break ups and wayward feelings. The fans deserved similar attention for the Clana ending, but there’s no reason to hate Clana. I’m glad that happened, but I’m glad Clois is the endgame.
