Still Smallville's OTP, only Clark/Lana I'm glad Tom finally decided to do these events and now Kristin too. It's so nice for the fans! The original gang!
Tom used to be very introverted and would avoid going to panels altogether (back when the show was still going on). He's gotten a lot more friendly and interactive with the fanbase in recent years though.
Clana is literally the DEFINING romance of the show, and love it or hate it, that was set up in the pilot episode. And even with all the ups and downs they went through, their chemistry was unbeatable. Even when lois was introduced to the show as a gimmicky afterthought, the show KEPT reminding us that Lana Lang was the love of Clark Kent's life. And she was truly a match to Clark's strong, virtuous nature. Even in her vulnerability, she's emotionally strong. Because even after being hurt so many times, she's still willing to be open and soft. She values honesty and kindness. No, she's not perfect, but when she is pulled into darkness and forced to harden her heart, she pulls herself out of it. And she's always willing to overcome adversity and forgive others (even when she tries not to or knows she shouldn't, she forgives). Her parents die, she goes to the graveyard alone so no one sees. Her childhood friend dies and then comes back to "haunt" her and tries to kill her again. Nell leaves, Whitney leaves. She gets threatened, stalked, kidnapped and hurt by psychopaths. She aways tries to be a beacon of light. She picks herself up when she is down. She gives Clark multiple chances to explain himself (but also knows when to say enough lies) and eventually when life deals her the final blow, she leaves Smallville to HELP OTHERS. She's a very human feminine counterpoint to Clark, like his tether. Voltzy there is simply under the mistaken notion that more cleavage = hotter = better. And that is literally all lois has to offer.
If the movies aren't going to do anything with Superman, the CW should do a sequel series called *Metropolis.* For those who grew up with Smallville, it would be great to see Tom, Michael, Erica and Kristin play those characters again. And for those who didn't see the show, it would just be a normal Superman TV show. It's win-win.
Watching Kirsten, I'm amazed she is still kinda shy after all she has done . She must be truly, one amazing type of person, to get to actually sit down and talk to in real life. Aside from the part she is, still, unbelievably gorgeous lol. Also... smallville with a goatee.. don't you just wish that would have been his reporter disguise? So funny.
@@nixonvonnixon the funny part is, if you listen to Rosenbaum's (Lex Luthor actor) podcasts when Welling was on, Welling was married even way back then, and Rosenbaum was the one who was admittedly really crushing on her. But he admitted it was mostly just a physical attraction he had.. I guess him and Welling were a few years older than the ladies on there at the time
As amazing as it is seeing these three together again, I do wish Kirsten got more chance to speak. She gets interrupted a lot before even stating to give answers. Tom and Michael teed to turn these panels into their own stand up comic routines at times. Kirsten remains as stunningly beautiful as ever and loved her so much as Lana.
Kristin got even prettier and its neat seeing her be herself. I like her more the Lana. I do miss the show.. you guys kicked ass and kept me entertained for years.
The original trio back together .. there would be no show without them .. also .. always good to see Clark and Lana on the screen together :) Also: 38:18 - Tom, how did it feel when you broke the bed? .. I'm sure it was legendary when he was breaking it with Kristin/Lana :D
I read always bad comments about how Tom is aged.. I think people don't realize that he is older, in his 40s, he is not active like during Smallville.. But he is always a gorgeous man and if he just takes some times to prepare he would be super amazing and fit like he was on Smallville! He is human, he has feelings, problems, worries, life like every body else, he is not perfect so why keep punting about this aspect? When he was Clark was absolutely hot, yeah! I love him since 2001 and never stop, the one and only actor I love and I could watch over and over... Damn beautiful!! But life goes on and we get older... He gets a damn hot older daddy look.. And I love it!! ❤️💙
Love this show since it aired. Good times. Hope to see the rest of the cast too. Smallville was truly big for most young viewers and even older folks. My mom loved this show.
Kristin still looks the same. I wonder if tom still likes her after all this yrs. Since then and up until now nothing has changed on her beautiful face
@@lailamanigbas7537 after listening to them talking on other clips, its actually Michael that liked her..but it sounded more like just a physical thing he had for her.
@@sainters7n one episode commentary for SV (I can't remember which one), Michael talked about how beautiful Kristin was, and he spilled water over himself.
So tired of hearing what the show didn’t have. Here’s what it did have, an awesome, creative, and talented casts, stories, and humanity. I freakin loved the show!!! I get it! We wanted to see Superman fly ! OMG go see the movies and read the comic books. What we got was episode after episode of the struggle and evolution of Clark Kent and Superman. That was done perfectly and this rendition of Superman separates itself from the cookie cutter movies and far better than Lois & Clark. My opinion so start your flame spray.
Yeah, same here. And I also hope that Jensen Ackles also joins the Smallville reunion someday. Or even one of these days. It's not Smallville without Jensen. His character Jason Teague is also just about somewhere in the middle of the Superman mythology of the show due to what his dad Mr. Teague's mission was in the episode Quest season 7 was drop hinted as. Plus, I don't think anybody saw his body taking out of the Kent house after the second meteor shower. I'm not sure about this, but please correct me if I'm wrong or even tell me if I'm right.
i started watching a video of this con just now and the camera was so shaky and out of focus that i typed the name and year to search for a new version and got this one, so clear and stable! thanks a bunch for recording it and recording it well
For me Smallville has been one of the most successful television series there have been superheroes, in this case Superman, since it is based on the life of Clark Kent (starring Tom Welling) since he is a teenager until adulthood, being one of the few series that did not have interruptions at the time of its realization and transmission, which lasted 10 years, beginning its transmission on October 16, 2001 and ending on May 13, 2011. What I like the most from this panel personally is that they were able to bring together the 3 main actors of Smallville, which made the series attractive to viewers, especially teenagers, making the current series of superheroes like Supergirl not have the same attraction to the audience (except for the first season, which was successful until the second season, having as of this a considerable low of viewers). In addition, these actors (Tom Welling: Clark Kent, Kristin Kreuk: Lana Lang and Michael Rosenbaum: Lex Luthor, along with John Schneider: Jonathan Kent, Annette O'Toole: Martha Kent, John Glover: Lionel Luthor, Allison Mack: Chloe Sullivan and Sam Jones III: Pete Ross) were pioneers in the development of this television show, especially Welling, Kreuk and Rosenbaum, as were actors such as Erica Durance (Lois Lane), Laura Vandervoort (Kara), Justin Hartley (Green Arrow/Oliver Queen), Cassidy Freeman (Tess Mercer), Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy Olsen), Callum Blue (Zod), Samuel Witwer (Davis Bloome) and Jensen Ackles (Jason Teague). Not only was Smallville successful as a television show but also a driving force for actors and actresses such as Lizzy Caplan, Amy Adams, Shawn Ashmore and Ian Somerhalder, especially since the first three seasons averaged 6.41, 7.77 and 5.88 million viewers in United States approximately (being the second season the most successful of the program, turning it into one of the most seen programs in the television in its time, and although the seasons 4, 5, 6 and 7 had averages of 5.02, 5.32, 4.52 and 4.15 million approximately it continued having a lot of popularity, but from season 8 (with the exits of Kreuk and Rosenbaum, being the first one that affected more to the show as far as the rating) the show began to stop being attractive and interesting for the youth audience, because the producers of the show wanted to be based on the comics, causing a drastic change in the theme of the show, having as a consequence seasons 9 and 10 had considerable losses in the number of viewers (2.27 and 2.54 millions approximately, being the ninth season the least successful in the history of the program). Finally, as regards the couples that were made in Smallville what I thought, in my point of view, the most beautiful was the relationship between Clark Kent and Lana Lang, because although they had their good and bad moments it was a relationship that was forged since they were teenagers and was consolidated when they were adults, having a good chemistry and attraction, not only among the characters, but also the actors (Tom Welling and Kristin Kreuk) and the audience, and although the relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane (Tom Welling and Erica Durance) was also pretty, did not have the same chemistry or attraction for the audience. In conclusion Smallville was a series that combined many important elements, such as friendship and family, and as for the 3 main actors (Welling, Kreuk and Rosenbaum) the friendship they had before Smallville went on the air made the program have much success, continuing the friendship that the 3 actors have.
Adding to this comment, Smallville was also a boost for the career of actors and actresses like Kevin Zegers, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Jesse Metcalfe, Adam Brody, Sarah Carter, Serinda Swan, Alaina Huffman and Jodelle Ferland or the consecration of great careers, both in television and film, such as Jane Seymour (James Bond's Girl in 007: Live or Die, 1973) and James Marsters (starring the character Brainiac).
Agree completely. Very well said. Michael, Tom and Kristin were the reason the show was a big success. When Michael and Kristin left, the show went downhill and the tv ratings had a huge decline in season 9 and 10.
It is truly great to see tom kristen and michael together for this little reunion I do hope we get a movie in the future or a reboot for a proper reunion one day
This was amazing! I loved that Kristen came out and did this with them. They need to do more with Kristen in the mix. Also loved how everyone was laughing so hard at the kids question about the bed breaking. I think everyone else but Tom had in mind where Clark and Lana broke the bed together after having sex during the 8th season lol poor Tom didn’t get it though. It was nice of him to remember the one where Clark was floating over Lana though.
I love seeing them all together. However, this was not an easy panel to watch cause they had the line of people blocking the three of them. Wish the camera could've been higher.
The CW needs to redeem itself for the emasculated, weak, 2nd-tier superman they made of Tyler Hoechlin. Bring on the Pre-crisis "Reeve" Superman with Tom Welling and restore his power level and status to the top. It can be earth (whatever).
24:00 the BEST prank on SMALLVILLE? convincing Pete Ross (Sam Jones III) to buy a house in Vancouver after the end of Season 3, only to have him written out of the show!! 😋
I love, love ,love these guys...but DAMN! Let Kristin talk! Thanks for this vid, it was a lot of fun to watch. I hope they get to do a live-action movie someday!
I also thought, why the heck don't they let Kristen talk! Even with the questions that were adressed directly to her! Long ago i liked the series, but now i am absolutely "dean-winchestered". :)
I keep seeing comments on these vidoes about how Tom looks so much different/older. It really surprises you that people age and their appearance just might change as time passes?
He's the only 1 that looks completely different / totally unrecognizable for some reason. Even Allison & Erica still looks the same & not like some washed up overweight has been like most celebrities who're way past their prime. So, you're point is, really???? 🐂💩🐑🗑
H0RD4K-SK3LET0R MUMM'R4-MEG4TR0N I’ll have to disagree with you. Tom does look different, but I don’t believe he’s unrecognizable. And even if he was, even if he was massively overweight, I don’t see why people need to point it out so often and compare him to other actors since it’s clearly not said out of concern for his well being. For, the record, I’m not a Tom Welling super fan either. I’d likely say the same thing if people were criticizing one of the other actors.
Bruce Wayne I don’t believe I ever mentioned him being old. I did mention something about him being ‘older’ and compared to when he was in Smallville, Tom is definitely older but by no means old in my opinion. In regards to my age, I am not a ten year old although many people do assume I’m quite young based on my appearance.
Bruce Wayne Perhaps he doesn’t feel the need to look the way he did 15 years ago. His wife certainly doesn’t seem to mind how he looks, he doesn’t seem self-conscious about his appearance (other than when people keep mentioning it) and I think that’s all that matters. I just don’t understand why people are so stuck on the fact that a guy in his 40’s no longer looks the way he did in his early 30’s.
Bruce Wayne I’m afraid you are misinterpreting pretty much everything I’ve said. If you aren’t actually trolling me for some reason, I’ve never said that I think Tom is old or that he looks old, just that he is ‘older’. I also am well aware that people age/change at different rates and in different ways as they grow older. Personally, I look a good 14-15 years younger than I am (which happens to be a pain in the butt 90% of the time). So if you are going to discuss ageism, I’d be a good candidate as I encounter age jokes on a weekly basis. But none of this is the point I was originally trying to make: which is that Tom is older than he was in Smallville, he should be able to change his appearance if he chooses to/not worry about the fact that he doesn’t look exactly like he did during his Clark Kent days, and that he should be respected by the people who call themselves his fans. And by this last point I mean, people should stop walking up to him and saying ‘wow, you’ve really changed’. It’s rude. Once again, I never said that anyone was old and never implied that age was a bad thing or that people let themselves go when they get ‘old’. Hopefully, you’re concerns on this matter have been laid to rest.
I Met Tom,Michael & Kristin At Dallas Fan Expo 2019 (Comic Con) Last Saturday May,4TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It Was Awesome & An Ignore Meeting The Stars Of SMALLVILLE:)
Smallville such a unique and awesome show and story. Even though the character of Clark didn't give the fans enough of himself in the superman suit it was still one of my favorites for 10 years. It is so cool to seem these actors now and as themselves. Kristin Kreuk is beautiful and hot then and now, Michael Rosenbaum .. very funny, Tom Welling .. interesting guy .. cool guy, funny. A bit different then his character but he's real and privet which I respect. All of Tom's movies - great job! .. .. … Sad news about Allison Mack and extremely surprising ! I love her character (Chole) though!
The chemestiry between Tom and Kristin is honestly so amazing I rlly wish they dated in real life… their bond on the show can’t just happen through acting alone, there has to be some sort of connection off set and they just show that…
Banana Man I dont think it’s so much about them escaping it so much as there will more than likely be an escalation of asking about Kristin’s experiences, their personal opinions (not good for PR and not good for a discussion at a con that usually has family around), throwing theories and accusations, etc. So to avoid the shitshow it just isn’t allowed to be talked about since it could take up the whole panel at worst too
They mention Alison in another panel last year, saying to the fans they could ask anything except about that simply because they didn't know anything and they didn't want to waste everyone's time talking about something so depressing for everyone. There's also a trial going on that doesn't involve any of them but it's still better if they don't talk about it.
@@rosenrot8373 oh actually that's a fair ask tbh. It's highly unlike they know too much more than the rest of us and that whole topic is just gonna ruin the day for everyone.
In Texas men wear cowboy hats everywhere. But I think he should take it off inside. He has also put on alot of weight since he left Smallville. But then I loved him in Smallville when he was in his 20's and early 30's. Mike R. looks the same though>
haha there is 1 con when mike is going on for ages about "EXPLODING DIOREAH" he just kept saying it coz he loved the hand signal lady doing the signs for it lol
