This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble ru-vid.comUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!
I am a beginner to woodwork, the main test I have with this bundle ru-vid.comUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt is that I think that its hard to settle on a choice of the plan and outline to use as there are a large portion of them there. Nonetheless, I like the simple stride to step directions laid out there.
Awesome idea and great woodworking, but the center of the extended/folding table needs a stronger support underneath. Otherwise, the middle part where the hinges are will collapse. Great video though! Cheers! 🍻
Almost everything he did could be done with just the basics of a drill, circular saw, and chisel. Yeah, it'd take longer and you'd need purchase finished lumber ready to cut to specifics, but definitely doable without everything else.
@@tinalaursen8993 I want to agree with you, and understand the sentiment, but having all those tools myself (and remembering when I didn't) I can say the outcome of having all those is often faster AND better.
Despite living in a part of Canada that produces an abundance of wood the cost has gone through the roof. Three sheets of 1 inch plywood and some 2 x 8's was $400. 😳😬
@@hartbreakidj so little money, honey. Perhaps take a run at education again with emphasis on reading and writing. You know-how to spell and all that good stuff. There. You got your hate. 😉😄
@@tinalaursen8993 lol I’m confused, I was emphasizing the unfortunate circumstances we are experiencing due to inflation. 😂 apologies that me commenting ‘smh’ symbolized such hate
Die "Smartness" dieser Idee wir vom Anblick des Maschinenparks doch ziemlich schnell ad absurdum geführt; ganz zu schweigen von der jüngsten Entwicklung der Preise für Holz.
0:43 plastic dead blow hammer, anyone? Never have been able to hit wood with even a wooden mallet myself. 4:40 a crosscut box for that 4:51 nice tablesaw would be a good project to vid 7:01 and a vertical sled jig Once you make those two fixtures you’ll find you will be using them all the time for all kinds of stuff. Nice project nonetheless!
great design , would be perfect for a younger child. definitely not strong enough where it slides out tho. you can tell the way it sags, but great execution
I think it needs a support in the middle. Maybe put a drop down support exactly like the one that slides, but it’s stationary and butts against the others when it slides in.
That's a death trap for little kids. Imagine the table extended. A kid sit there or use it as a step climb to look for something on top of shelve. The hinge closed up sandwich the kid. Worst case it dragged the whole shelve down . It can easily cause serious injury or even death to a small child.
Always looking at the down side are we? You probably shouldn’t have a vehicle either since it could run them over or accidentally hurt someone. Start taking a bike to work
@@forbiddenfruit4 that's right . I wouldn't have a vehicle if the vehicle manufacturer created a car without user safety in mind . This furniture can easily trap a child. It's human life we are talking about. Just like cooking , prepare delicious food doesn't make you good chef, it needs to be safe to eat and good nutrition value. Be responsible
Very nice, but how do you think from your viewers have home or acces to use this tools that you have? I know.......and is below 10......so is nice but is not for us
