With the new Blender-3Dcoat applink you can more easily texture the Blender mesh in the Paintroom in 3Dcoat with instant updates in Blender. Just uvmap the mesh in Blender first and choose „keep uv“ in 3Dcoat or let 3Dcoat make the whole uvmap mess itself. You can even do the manual texture from 3Dcoat in PS or Affinity Photo and see the result in 3Dcoat and later in Blender. Endless combinations. I even will try to export my Moi3D cad WW2 25pdr gun into Blender and see what I will get thru the pipeline. Anyway, terrific tuts of yours, just what it takes. Or in French : CHAPEAU !

31:07 You could use the drop down box at the top to paint "more in concave" for this dirt and grime stuff.

Not sure if you have found out or tried it, but with the triangle selected and on the fill bucket, open the preview window and hover over the cloth on the ring and just click it, it will fill all connecting polygons

6:53 I believe you can just hover over the control and hit the space bar, then you can type whatever number you want.

Yeah I remember that feature, can't remember if I tried it during this recording, or if it just doesn't work with rotation or that menu. Cheers though! Your name seems very familiar to me, have you done 3d coat tutorials, or roam on the forums at all? Could be a coincidence!

@@PolyToots I've done some tutorials on 3D-Coat and other 3D software, particularly 3D scanning. I'm also a moderator on the 3D-Coat forum.

Which program you used to create the box? The mesh looks neat, which makes me wonder if you used 3D coat, or some polygon based software

Hey, this chest was 100% 3d coat. No other 3d software involved at all.

@@PolyToots Impressive. Do you mind creating a small tutorial on how to create a clean retopo? Many videos show how to do retopo, but I haven't seen one which shows how to align vertices nicely (and efficiently). It can be as simple as small box on top of a bigger box, which is on top of another even bigger box. You know, 30 surfaces or so only.
