You know this IS ver cool, kool, or even KEWL but only if ya have extra welding electrodes laying about..... lol, the value of the electrodes in fixing cracked metals probably far exceeds the use in plastic repairs but it is cool to know. It makes me wonder about using chopped up scrubber pads or other flaked metals that come in a powdered form? I'm certain there are a few metals in powder form that this work work? And I have a need, my Dash of an old truck is cracked & there's not any new ones made to replace the old. I've been looking to no avail so either this process or one of your other videos showing the use of cigarette butts or other "Fibers" to mix w/ the super glue for plastic repairs is what I need. This one won't work b/c I'm not buying welding rods just to get the metal off of them - too expensive. Do you have other plastic repair videos? peace & GB

Bonjour Création Holic : ça tombe bien. VOTRE tuto m’intéresse. Pour ce qui est de la poudre des électrodes, pas de soucis, j’en ai plein, Pour ce qui est de la colle liquide, je suppose que c’est de l’équivalence ou même de la super glu ?, Si ce n’est pas le cas, je serais intéressé ou trouver cette colle.. En effet !, J’ai une pièce qui recouvre l’ensemble du dessus de radiateur d’une jaguar XJ8 - V8, c’est à la fois un couvercle linéaire, avec du multiformes sur le travers de l’avant du véhicule, c’est une très belle pièce, difficile à trouver en ce moment. Mon souci est le suivant.. sur le parcours de cette pièce, il y a des perforations pour passer les boulons, inox à tête bombé, arrivé à l’extrémité, j’en ai un qui est on va dire éclaté. J’ai mis de côté tous les fragments. Et cela fait plusieurs mois que tout ça est rangé sur mon étagère.. Je voulais le faire avec de la résine fibre de verre, mais c’est difficilement jouable, car la Pieces n’a que 3 mm d’épaisseur, sur les bords, et la partie percée, se trouve à 2 mm du bord. Juste de quoi passer le boulon pour recouvrir. Cette matière est bizarre, cela ressemble de l’ABS ou peut-être de la Bakélite ?, Ce n’est pas du PVC, c’est certain., ou autre Plastique du genre. La pièce est semi rigide sur sa longueur, donc je pense qu’on peut faire quelque chose pour restaurer cette petite partie de la pièce. Car de toute façon, cette pièce est absolument Desing, nous allons la recouvrir, soit de klevlar ou de carbone . Question quel est la bonne colle ? Cordialement votre de gérard .

Thing is just as with the baking powder method. Why on earth would you use a totally different incompatible substance to do this . Sure it will fill a gap when a former is used to bridge that gap first .but its material properties mean that it will always remain a weak piont .
