Oh WOW 🤩. I love this for my La GREENga Van. I live and travel in my van and this would absolutely be some relief to have in my traveling home on wheels. Thanks for the review of this. I had never heard of these before ❤️
That’s a really neat solution not just for the motorhome but for home too. A great compromise between simple battery detectors and all singing hard wired systems
Congratulations you were selected as winner of our giveaway. Please drop us an email to info@explorevan.uk or use the contact form on the website www.explorevan.uk and we'll be in touch tomorrow to sort out getting it out to you!
Great video, just about to start conversion of a Luton van. Rather than just ordering firect off of Amazon, If you can locate and add affiliate link for the same brand but with CO2 and Heat detectors to go with these Smoke detectors, (water leak detector?) I'll happily purchase one Heat for the Cooking area, so Im not setting off a Smoke detector constantly lol a Smoke for the garage area where I'll have my Diesel/12v Water and Air heater and battery bank etc installed and another for the Lounge area, a CO2 detector or combined co2 and smoke detector for the garage area ..only the smoke detectors need to be wifi linked.
Hi Stephen, here is a link direct to the Xsense website where you can see their whole range www.x-sense.com/ - it's not an affiliate link, as I don't affiliate direct with them to stay independent. A couple of things to note, I chose not to test out their Carbon Monoxide or Combinations alarms as neither are tested to the higher standard for use in a vehicle. I would always recommend choosing an alarm that is tested to this standard as they are tested to higher levels of vibration. You can see more on the alarms we do recommend in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8nKewG7uzwI.html We've not had a problem when cooking near to the X Sense smoke detector, (unless we are actually burning the toast), the smoke detector has a "hush" button, so if it is inadvertently set off, you can mute it for 9 mins whilst you continue to burn food ;-)
It's also well worth getting a carbon monoxide alarm. Mine has gone off 3 times in the last couple of years, when I've had a selfish person running their engine near my campervan! One of the times I was asleep, and it woke me up! Was very smelly, could have been a silent killer if I hadn't had my alarm! Some people are very stupid, selfish, and inconsiderate!
Totally agree, unfortunately X-Sense don’t (yet) make a Carbon Monoxide alarm approved for use in a vehicle. You can find our video on CO and our choices of alarms here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8nKewG7uzwI.htmlsi=LFAfXj91DurcWIB-
