Ordered my EvoA last Saturday. "Am I going to get the new latches?" "Yes, it should have the new latches." Picked it up today. "Does it have the new latches?" "Yes, it should have the new latches." Well, it doesn't. I've emailed my dealer.
We are in the process of changing over to the new latches at the manufacturing level. This is a rolling change, and some of the caps that are already in inventory won't have the new latches. We will be making available the new latches as a retrofit option, for those that are wishing to switch over. Your dealer should be able to assist you in getting those ordered.
When my doors were flush like these on my brand new EvoA. I also wish I had the new latches on my week old EvoA that was supposed to have the new latches but I’m being told that I’m going to have to spend even more money and buy the latches.

Please know that we understand your frustration, but as the change to the new style latches is a rolling change, it is not possible for us to know which latches will be on the inventory in the system. We are constantly looking to improve our products, and sometimes that means the changes will be worked into ongoing production. We did ensure that the latches would be retrofittable to all EVO series caps, to ensure that if someone wanted the new latches, it would be possible to switch them out.
@@smartcap_official that’s all well and good but I shouldn’t have to pay for the new latches for my brand new EvoA. Had I bought with expectations that it had the old latches then I’d understand having to pay for the new ones when they’re available. But I waited to order one until I thought the latches would be on the Evo’s designed for a 2024 truck.
