Omg! You're classroom looks amazing! Very comfortable and home-y. The grey is mellow and soothing and the yellow makes it pop just enough. This has to be the best one so far. You've really out done yourself. My favorite thing about your classroom, is the simplicity of it. A lot of times teachers can go overboard with their decorations and it's way to much stimulation. But this is literally perfect ❤️ Bravo 👏🏾
Thank you and I am so glad you enjoyed it! I would've never thought of gray walls for a classroom, but it really does feel calming which is great for both students and Miss Robinson. As always, thanks for the support and watching!
Omg! Love how your classroom looks 😍😍😍😍. It's so welcoming and the colors are soft and not to busy to the eye. You did an amazing job. You put a lot of hours in making your classroom look this great. Liza's room looks nice too. I also like her color scheme.
I’m going through a period of watch classroom tours rn. I watched your newest one and HAD to come back to this one to see the difference. I love how you repurposed so much of your decor. For my second classroom, I attempted to do the same. You can see the resemblance in my tours
Absolutely amazing! Love the gold accents and I really like that the classroom is simple and organized, not overwhelming or too distracting. Thank you for sharing this lovely video. Love your channel! Excited to see your journey in the new school year!
Beautiful! I love your gallery wall! Your room is calming but most important an environment conducive for learning. I look forward to watching your videos on your journey in third grade. Blessing❤️❤️
What a BEAUTIFUL classroom! Very calming and inviting. I'm a teacher to-be, and I'll be drawing inspiration from your style. Congratulations for a job very well done!
Wow! Great job ladies...very calming and organized. What a great experience for your students. What a blessing to have such great friends to help you. What a blessed little angel Miss Genesis is! Have a great school year!
I love how you and Liza spent time working in each other's rooms! I really love your decor in your class and your home! Your room shows so much effort and I know the kids really appreciate that! I was also excited to see a parent helper as well!
Beautiful room. So soothing and calm. My two favorite parts... All those post its!! and backpack hooks under the desks!!! OMG! LOVE! My heart skipped a beat. LOL. Mrs. Chu's room looks great too. Hope you continue including her in your vlogs as much as it is possible. Love to see teacher besties. 🤗 Have a great first day!
I didn't realize I had accumulated that many post-its, but they will come in handy for sure. It is so nice to have the built in hooks with the desks, they have taken some getting used, but I think I like them.
Thank you for sharing your classroom set up with us. You did an amazing job 👏🏻. I left third grade and will be teaching kindergarten this coming school year. We go back Aug. 15th and for the first time in 18 years I did not go in during summer to set up my classroom😁. Your classroom decor just inspired me to get started. Have a wonderful year. I look forward to seeing your vlogs throughout the year. I too teach in the south bay😊.
I love it. It's sooooo cute. Fran's contributions were fab. What a blessing. 😊. Here's to an amazing year. Your students are so lucky to have a committed and devoted teacher. You rock. 💛💛💛 Liza, I love your room too.
I absolutely love your classroom! I’ve been looking at room tours for weeks now cause I am a soon to be teacher! I’m in love with the color scheme and how clean and simple it is! You’ve created a really fun space to learn and your students are going to love it! You’ve definitely just got a subbie💕
What a beautiful classroom! I love the colors. I'll be going back into the classroom after 9 years and watching your videos are helpful. Thank you. Have a great school year!
The Room!!!! It is fabulous!!!! I never thought of craft paper for the writing wall, always used construction paper. I'm going to check that out. I hope you're having a great start to your new year!! Love the plant and bench outside. I used to have an outside entrance when I taught in Las Vegas. I miss that.
Thank you! Craft paper is the way to go. Not cutting, you know they will all be even and you can play with different patterns. Thank you for watching and I am glad you like it!
I'm commenting at 2:41pm EST. So that would mean your morning is coming to an end and your short school is swiftly moving along. I'm absolutely sure that the kids LOVE their new class!!!! So soothing, yet inspiring- a great place to foster learning. I recall you mentioned that the vlogs will decrease in frequency, but I can't wait to hear about your first day!
I love how clean and simple your classroom is! It feels modern, but still so inviting for students. I just found out I have these same triangular desks in my classroom next year and I hated them at first, but they look nice in your room so maybe they'll grow on me :)
I loved the way both yours and Liza's classrooms look! Both of you inspire me so and I know I will definitely go with a color scheme instead of a theme when I set up my first classroom. I love how both of your classrooms are inviting, welcoming, and not too overly stimulating. Nice work! 😀 May you both have a wonderful and blessed school year! 😀
I am with you on that staff room cutter- I can never cut a straight line. That scrap book paper is gorgeous! Your color scheme is elegant and positive. Your entire class is beautiful. I finally get into my room tomorrow to decorate.
What fabulous job! I love the attention to detail for the students and to encourage your spirit daily. I NEED a Fran in my teacher life!! I wonder if she would like to come to the east coast to help a sistah out!! Shout out to Fran... Loooove your style!!
You did an amazing job! This grey and yellow are so relaxing and go so well together! I love the tepee and your library corner. The desk are interesting too. Great job!
Wow... this is a beautiful room and you and your students will feel so warm and welcomed as you enter each day. I noticed the book "Mr Peabody's Apples". I love that book. Such a great message..
My mum is a teacher and I helped her make chill out cards for the teepee in her room. So the idea is to make a card (hand made or professionally, ours was handmade by me) and every time a student is good she’ll hole punch the card and once you’re card is fully ‘punched out’ you can chill out in the teepee or have the comfy chair at your desk for the day and you’re card resets. My mum has lots of cards besides the chill out card like her teacher for the class card where a student is given a sheet of paper (after the card is full) which is the lesson and they can choose whatever class they want to teach and loads of others card. It would be great if all teachers used this but some may think this is spoiling the students but it really isn’t lol. Love your vids 💕💞
I was waiting for this video! Love, Love, Love, your new room, it looks beautiful!!!!!! Have a great year and I hope you continue to make videos throughout the year. Also, I introduced a fellow teacher to You Tube teacher vlogs this summer and your channel was the first one I recommended :)
Awww.... thank you so much! There are some many teachers out there on RU-vid, so I am honored that I was the first one you recommended. After the long wait, I am glad I didn't disappoint with the classroom tour.
OMG. I'm not even a teacher by profession. Your classroom is ahhhhmazing. I'm extremely impressed. I have two nieces which are teachers in Chicago and I never knew the time it took to set up a classroom. I'm going to have to introduce them to your you tube channel. Very inspirational. I stumbled across your channel watching videos on new homes or home decore. By the way cute home. I've been inspired to maybe at least introduce myself to teaching. Happy Blessed new school year. May you and your students have a very productive fun filled learning experience. Those children are blessed. Thanks for sharing!!!!
When you were explaining your light sensor issue I thought to myself "I'd probably just start throwing things across the room to turn the lights back on" 😂😂 sometimes standing up is just to hard
Your classroom looks awesome. I must be old because my classroom never looked like this as a kid. I noticed the students don't have desks but tables. I like it. Its less intimidating. Thank you for all you do to shape the minds of our youth!!!!!!
I literally love your classroom it is so cute 💕. I can't wait to see your videos for the upcoming 2017-2018 school yr with your new 3rd graders. I wish you all the best this school year 😊
The gray is very calming on my screen I can only imagine how at ease your students will be when they are in your classroom. You really did a great job.
I love your room. The paper on all the walls looks super. I could never do this in my room. When I saw the tepee, I thought, "She's bringing Genesis to school!" I had a good chuckle. I hope this year is much better for you. I love 3rd grade. I taught it for 25 yes. I am moving to 2nd in Sept. Love Mrs. Chu's room, the blue looks great.
Haha... Genesis has more than enough tepees and resting areas, but I don't blame you for thinking that. I am 2 days in and so far I am enjoying 3rd grade!
I love the colour scheme of your classroom. It is so organized! I took the table out from the front of my room too, but need it back! I have no where to put my things as I teach.
Your new Classroom is, Fantazticcc!!! love the colors, theme, and set up especially the pom-poms n little Tutu house for reading, exceptional idea. You make me want to be a third grader again, lol. Lisa your class looks sooo pretty, as turquoise is one of my favorite colors. Great job to you, Lisa, Fran and the rest of the decorating team. Happy Back 2 school MS. ROBINSON!!! Wishing you and Lisa a great school year. kudos to Teaching!!!!
Better late than never! I must be the last one. The classroom looks amazing! I can talk for myself, but I think we all got some inspiration from watching the tour! Have a great start and happy school year!
I am envious of your whiteboard easel and student desks! I have the same issue with motion sensor lights in my school. Some of the teachers had their own solutions like throwing various homemade flying objects towards the sensors (of course not when the students were there).I took the simple approach of buying an LED lamp for next to my computer. Enjoy your adventure teaching in being a part of helping to establish a new school community.
1) Your room belongs in a magazine! Wow. 2) Great tour. Very detailed with your thought process. Congratulations! Liza's room is beautiful, too. It reminds me of the ocean. Both rooms would be very soothing.
You are so mentally blessed. The way you take an idea and bring it to life inspires me on a whole other level. I enjoy learning your perspective and viewing life through your eyes. So awesome girl!
Bridgette Kemp thanks! That is so nice of you to say. Sometimes my mind goes into overdrive, but I do enjoy seeing my ideas come to life. Thanks for watching and being so kind. 💛
Thanks for showing Liza's room. You both did a fabulous job decorating the rooms. I hope you don't mind but I might use one or two of your ideas. Have a fantastic year!
I have been waiting for this video...I clicked that button so fast. LOL! Your room is amazing and is just so inviting. I love Liza's room too. I cannot wait to see what you do with your new students.
Wow! What an inviting classroom! I am in love with the colors! The teepee and chair are so perfect.... all the little extras are so awesome! Thanks for the shout out! I am glad you can use the clips.... I added magnets to some as well! Have a great day tomorrow... cannot wait to hear how it goes! Make sure to post an insta story..l love those!
Soooo very beautiful! I love that you covered the walls with paper! I may do that, I dislike the green walls in my room. Many blessings as you begin the school year!
I love it! really lovely. The children will love it too. Its really a great 2nd home for you. Also, a suggestion for a small place to lay your TE books during teaching.... a music stand works great. You can even paint them and decorate them to match your room. They are like a little podium and can be extended up or down and put away easily when not in use. I have used one for years to hold my reading books. They were something my school had plenty of but no real use for. I spray painted it to match my decor. Just a thought. Have a fabulous year! Best of luck with your new grade level, grad school and everything else you take on. I look forward to watching your adventure.
Thank you for the compliment and the great idea! I would've never thought of a music stand, but that might be something to look into. Glad you enjoyed the tour and thank you so much for watching!
When I taught (I'm retired now), it never ceased to amaze me how much of my salary went into my classroom. The district RARELY bought anything and the classroom budget was $200 a year for pencils, paper, erasers, scissors, glue, crayons, etc. U ended up spending about $300 per month on classroom supplies (including the ink for the printer I had to purchase myself). That was in addition to the start-up budget for wall decor and supplemental materials, including books for the required classroom library. The general populace regard teachers as little more than expensive baby-sitters (my own EX-husband used to sneer and say he didn't understand why I was tired, as all I did was play with children all day). They have no idea how much of our personal salary goes right back into the classroom, or is spent on holiday gift baskets, clothing, etc. for the indigent students in our rooms.
Your room looks lovely! Currently putting up bulletin board fabric and actually decorating my room for the first time- last year I worked sixth grade and picked up the clothespin trick for student work from a few of my multiple subject coworkers. It's going to save me so much time!
I had to subscribe because your class room looks amazing and so neat . I love how you organized everything and the color and decor 😍 . Definitely getting a huge thumbs up for me and you have yourself a new subbie 😁❤️
I love your reading corner!!! That teepee is so cute. I like your plants....I should add that to my room too. Its great to bring nature into the room (but knowing me, the plant needs to be fake as it won't last long in my care 😫.) Your room looks great! I'm loving the pops of gold too. 🤗
