You right, tbh I hope they nerf Ganondorf in the next Smash Game, make him a low tier for once, like jeez.

I think if Pikachu was still considered the best character in Ultimate, he'd deserve to be the best character in all of Smash. But the hype around him seems to have died off, especially after Fighters Pass 2 finished, so yeah I can agree that Fox is better overall.

Falcon in brawl tho..

You forgot about Brawl Falcon and Brawl Sheik being bad, so they're not consistent.

@@superkulty64 that's only one appearance for them, the other appearances outweigh the one bad one. Also Sheik on Brawl has good MUs against higher tier characters so she has that going for her.

@@mandalorianhunter1 even if it's one appearance and the goods outweigh the bad, it doesn't change the fact that Falcon and Sheik aren't consistently good in every Smash game due to Brawl unlike characters like Diddy, Marth, Fox and Pikachu where they have been good in every iteration since their introduction in their respective game (you can argue Marth doesn't fit that criteria due to him being outclassed by Roy and Lucina in Ultimate, but just like the video says, his archetype is incredibly consistent since his introduction in Melee). Yes Sheik may have good MUs against some high tiers in Brawl, but she's still underwhelming and not good in that game at the end of the day. Same for Falcon.

Snake was initially going to be much bigger during Brawl's development, but it was changed last minute to make him about the same size as the other humanoid characters. However due to this change being last minute, a lot of aspects from this portrayal of the character was leftover in the game, namely his ridiculously high weight, his frame 9 jumpsquat (the largest in the series), the large amount of landing lag in his aerials, and his disproportionally huge hitboxes and KO power.

@@the_bookworm8281 This sounds very sensible, but his size modifier for Brawl was 1.08x, which implies that his model was initially smaller and made larger for the final release. Did Sakurai confirm that Snake was initially meant to be larger?

@@BirdieSenpai Upon further research, there doesn't seem to be any concrete evidence for him being larger during the game's development, only really rumors. There is a model adjustment through the empty bone called TopN, which hilariously enough resulted in some hitbox visual inaccuracies in the SmashWiki for PM Snake. The possibility is definitely there, and his other bizarre attributes contribute to this theory, but there is no conclusive evidence (no real evidence against it either). I doubt there is any possible to way to find out either, so how Snake in Brawl ended up the way he is will remain indefinitely unresolved.

Not really. Mario is NOT a good character in Smash 64 and Melee because he's ALMOST considered to be a Low Tier character in both titles (especially in Smash 64). However, I can say that Luigi was pretty close to being good in most of the Smash titles except for Smash 64 and Brawl. However, I say that Luigi was pretty good in Melee and Smash 4 (especially in Melee). Keep in mind, that Mario is NOT supposed to EXCEL in any particular stats in the first place. I bet you're trying to say that Mario used to be a good character in Smash 64 and Melee, but he wasn't nearly as good as how he was perceived to be in the past. The only reason why Mario is good in Smash 4 and Ultimate is because that Sakurai finally decided to fix up his below average character abilities from the first three Smash titles. However, you're absolutely right that Mario was, indeed, severely nerfed from Melee to Brawl since he almost has no type of KO and recovery options in Brawl like how he originally had in the first two Smash titles back then. Overall, I say that his character abilities even became worse in Melee since both his KO power and Recovery got immensely nerfed as well.

Honestly its not even marth or the devs fault. Marth is still a really good character and if Lucina was not in the game I am 100% sure that marth would be a high ranked character. People just pretend he is bad because he is outclassed by Lucina.

When your overshadowed by a mere high tier in a game where everyones high tier thats saying your bellow average. Same range as characters like PT,Terry,Mii Brawler, and only slightly above characters like Falcon or Byleth

@@Newbmann 90% of the cast is high tier. The only reason characters are labeled mid tier is because of usage. The game is very balanced you cant rank it the same way of other smash games.

​@@SonicTheCutehogsame with 4 and ult to a degree,he's probably the only not meta knight chatacter that can do up air to up air without breaking a controller and spindash is at it's best with the floaty engine and his aireals actually had less landing lag in brawl than 4.He was great just oushined and he didn't need chain grabs to win.

I agree 100%. I think he is way better than people give him credit for, but people do not play him correctly and throw out the worst options. The amount of times I see Marth mains miss out on a kill combo opportunity, just to throw out a stale forward air for the millionth time.... ugh.

@@Spyder-Marth yeah, how many times have you seen a Joker dash attack Marth and not get up smashed for it? If a Diddy, Sora, Mario, peach, fox, or bayo, and even pit, dash attack me. That's a free up smash and death at 120%. They also need to understand opponent tendencies. I learned this from ppmd, and some mindset encouragement when I met Zain in person at Shine. I'm looking for ideas with Marth outside of Ultimate. Thanks for agreeing
