When this series was created in the early mid 90's before the internet was public the creator could never have imagined that a viral trend in 2022 would be smashing or passing pokemon as done by many online...its kinda insane to think about
@@EMOJlZ yeah personally I would order them according to the generation they released in (so Galarian Rapidash would be gen 8) but here I just followed the video
@AlphaWolfRex896 I could be wrong, but I think they mean how in one of the first few seasons, they introduce lore that explains that if a ponyta/rapidash trusts you then the fire won’t burn you. (The context was that Ash had to participate in a rapidash racing event)
This is the most defeated/exhausted I've ever heard someone sound in a video. Didn't make the video any less amazing though. I mostly agree with your takes on which Pokemon you'd smash, which is an odd sentence. Born too late to explore the Earth, born too early to explore the stars, born just in time to explore pokemon sexuality.
What an intricate and detailed list of Smashed and Passed Pokémon, I didn’t expect the list to consist entirely of “No stream Tap to retry” the water Pokémon.
The thing I learned from this is how many more variant types they've come up with since I last paid any attention to pokemon. Also, I was going to be really disappointed if he passed on Vaporeon, the pokemon known for being the most smashable.
This stream was an absolutely wild ride, half of chat was losing their minds, the other half was basically playing along. 10/10 stream, absolutely would smash
I've yet to watch the whole video but I appreciate you being the first youtuber I've seen to actually look at the alternate forms when the majority of youtubers I've seen don't take alternate forms into account let alone know alt forms exist
Looking forward to see a grown man decide for 30 minutes if he would bonk a fictional animal-beast. "The you spent enjoying something, is not wasted time" - I tell this to myself.
I'd really like to see some statistics about these results, like patters on determining which ones are a smash. Like for example, is there a correlation with breeding groups like the infamous Vaporeon copy pasta says, or the more anthropomorphic face/body makes a difference. Also, it's clear that the Eevolutions have some kind of advantage here
I fucking love this trend. Its just such a fucking hilarius way of seeing your favorite youtubers be more open and comedic about themselves. It makes me feel understood.
Hey guys, did you know that in terms of human companionship, . . . . . Flareon is objectively the most huggable Pokémon? While their maximum temperature is likely too much for most, they are capable of controlling it, so they can set themselves to the perfect temperature for you. Along with that, they have a lot of fluff, making them undeniably incredibly soft to touch. But that's not all, they have a very respectable special defense stat of 110, which means that they are likely very calm and resistant to emotional damage. Because of this, if you have a bad day, you can vent to it while hugging it, and it won't mind. It can make itself even more endearing with moves like Charm and Baby Doll Eyes, ensuring that you never have a prolonged bout of depression ever again
The lack of any criteria or qualification is what makes this. Your choices may reveal something about you, but anything I say would reveal just as much about myself.
I really like imagining the scene in sword and shield where Chairman Rose interrupts the champion battle or whatever, but instead this video starts playing and everyone is just staring up at it in horror and disgust.
I love how Markiplier made one dumb little video and didn't expect much from it, yet he: Started a new (or at least revived the) smash or pass trend, and made MatPat do not one but TWO theories on what his perfect pokemon is. The impact of that video has lingered for months and every time we think it's over, someone else decides to join the party, thank you Mark.
@@En_Joshi-Godrez Yeah there is a surprising amount of people that didn't consider the Vaporeon copypasta as just a meme. But Gardevoir is still an absolute smash tho
@@theblah4341 nooo, thats the one that haunts me 😂. I remember being on gamefaqs and newgrounds pokemon message boards in 2002, and the day gardevoir was introduced, LITERALLY no one cared. People acknowledged it to be the first actual attempt of a feminine looking pokemon, but the fan art depicted them as more of a angelic creature. I never found single thing about them to be related to that, and I'm someone that had a unironic goodra fetish.
@@saekki5023 I think for some its more of a asthetic or vibe thing. After all, human s3xuality is manifested by the way people express themselves and not what they explicitly look like. Pokemon are basically expressions of different things we interpret, some of which are s3xual.
@@Necturn_ I said this to plague of gripes, but even if you had a "good time" with them, you'll wake up the next day to make breakfast and realise you need to put dog food (which the anime shows them eating), in a bowl, on the floor, for them to eat out of...then something went wrong.
I like how he got angry about the different Deerling forms but then went on to go halfsies on the Oricorios (yes I know they have bigger design differences)
9:28 "Just pass all the babies. Gotta pass 'em all." I haven't watched all the Pokémon Smash and Pass videos but I reeeeeeally hope this is the universal law
Me, clicking on this video and accepting that I am willing to spend half an hour of my life watching a man decide the bang-ability of all 1000ish Pokémon: SMASH
I like how he chuckles at the Megas and Gigantamax because they are so ridiculous. Like trying to imagine the method you would try to use to do the "you know".
I have been playing Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes excessively, and now I'm hearing Holst Sigiswald Goneril do Pokemon Smash or Pass. On a side note, _thank you_ for doing variants, no one else does.
