English for Aliens narrator! I still hear him on episodes of Radio Active, but him bringing Father Ted to Ch4 was a masterstroke (he is the interpreter voice for Fr Hernandez the Cuban Lad in Passion of St Tibullus episode!!)
@Marcos Reign i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Bruno Brookes was the last of the "dinosaurs" to go cause his show was listened to by truckers & after having 99% of the listening figures when it was "out of touch" Radio 1 needed all the ratings it could get.
Mark Baddier (Mark Goodier) "Cowabunga!" and Simon Christ (Simon Mayo, even though he looks more like Steve Wright), got to love the writing of Paul Whitehouse. As Johnny Depp once said, "He's a genius!"
@@petermorris9818 There's some Gary Davies there, as he's one of those phony, cheesy DeeJays. Both Smash and Nice are amalgamations of several DJs like DLT etc etc, but Whitehouse's accent is spot on for the stupid inane mid- Atlantic Tony Blackburn.
I often wondered why Bob Harris whispered on the OGWT. Probably as it was on so late and viewers were watching it while their parents were in bed. It was like it was a secret show that they didn't want the BBC controllers to know about.
Yes Sir Jimmy savlon!!! would have needed plenty savlon over the years for a sore knob!!! did Harry know more than us with his quip of savlon knowing why he needed some... :~)
Sir Jimmy Savlon, and BLT the hairy sandwich - it gets no better than this. Myself, wife and sons all use Smashie n Nicey lingo in our everyday lives, type scenario. [True conversation: Which car are you taken this mornen mate? I thought I'd use the Renault -I like the Renault, you know in a French state owned type way. Your'e not wrong mate, its absolutely mungous, don't forget the fillen up with diesel type situation". "Certainly wont mate: until tonight baba-wee-bow-bow, babababa- bye"
