@@travistravinyle4207 I just watched the 1997 live version. Starts at 160 and is 170BPM by the end. This one at 130 steady the whole way through. :(

I agree. Billy and Jimmy have bought in to the idea of performing true to the records, but this song (which is my favorite SP song) shines at their “Live” tempo from 1996 - 2000. I’m hoping it comes together better when they perform in Dallas in a few months.

The 90s live versions were great examples of young musicians rushing. Older musicians don't need to favor adrenaline over intent. The MC tour ending was also exemplary of the song's meaning: A moment in time that isn't repeatable.

@@jcoriha Bill has said they grid everything in studio and use a click live in several interviews.

I thought he only used a click on two songs during recording. Everything else is no click
