SMEGerator Build - Kegerator beer tap fridge - The Malt Miller 

Am I the only one who sees a SMEG fridge and automatically thinks of the old SciFi show Red Dwarf?

It reminds me of the time I had one of the best beers I have ever had which was at a Camp site in the German Black Forest and the site had a beer tap in the middle of a tiled wall and the Site lady said that I had to wait for mein Grosse and mein Klena. Ein Kliena ein Grose. Lovely stuff as good as Bass in its way.

Nice one bud great little build and a few tips, I've got 6 kegs just on 1 regulator and 6way manifold. May upgrade to secondary regulator some time, as all my beers are on the same serving pressure. Cheers

I got a freebie SMEG a while back and have been meaning to smegerate it for a while. You've inspired me. What length shank do you have on that system?

What a build as I'm new to this but keen to learn can you point me in the right direction of the parts where to purchase. Are these builds safe to be in a house garage. Im a engineer by trade and would love a go at building one of these. Any advice would be great. Also how do you transfer from a keg from the brewery to these smaller kegs. Cheers Rob

Hi. Great video! Your earlier kegerator build using the LEC fridge used 3/16 line for the keg to tap. This one looks like it uses 3/8 line. Is that because you are using the flow control taps so no need to reduce the like flow?

What size lines are you using for both gas and liquid?

Great video! Can you just put a stout spout onto a regular tap?

How leak proof are those John Guest fittings? They just seem too good to be true with how easily they go together!

Can you force carb inside the fridge this way? I'm looking to do something similar to this but worried about the 3/16 line your running through the drain hole being able to handle the higher pressures.

Can you comfortably fit 3 19L cornies in there? Would it fit four?

Can I leave the top inner door (the freezer) open? to make the barrels cooler

using 3/8 pipe on a short run,do you not get loads of foam

That’s ones expensive conversion Those fridges retail 1k+
