The neck warmer thing you have on is called a gaiter. They can cover just your neck, but they make some that can be pulled up to keep your head warm too. Great video with excellent quality and views of the procedure. Great job! and thanks for posting.

It's a dog. They love hoof bits from horses and cows as treats. I have watched multiple horse and cow hoof channels. The dogs come running when the hoof trimmers show up.

how long does the bandage stay on, and how do they stay on? Watched a few vids from south america and they put some tar substance over the bandage to keep it waterproof and in place

Bandages don't usually stay on for very long. If they don't fall off on their own, the farmer or the hoof trimmer will take them off in a couple of days. The purpose of the bandage is keep the medication in place long enough to do it's job. It serves no other purpose. So, there would be no benefit to trying to keep it on longer.

I'll never understand why you guys get sooo close to finishing the job, but quit at around 90%. You left necrotic tissue on that toe and just wrapped it up with salicylic acid instead. Why?
