I'm walking around in PA listening to 2 guys in California 4 years ago listening to a guy riding around New Jersey talking to himself 26 years ago. What a strange time to be alive
I'm sitting in TN, reading your comment from a year ago about walking around in PA, listening to 2 guys in California 5 years ago, listening to a guy riding around New Jersey talking to himself 27 years ago. What a strange time to be alive.
It’s four years later and I am a Scotsman who just moved to England reading a comment about a guy four years ago listening to two guys four years prior to that listening to a guy riding a bike 26 years ago…long may it continue sir
Im in bed in CA reading your comment from 2 years ago, replying to the guy walking around in PA 4 years ago, listening to the podcast in CA from 10 years ago, listening to the kid on his bike from 31 years ago.
If Moser didn’t end up in the film industry with Kevin, he would’ve been a great therapist, he’s very perceptive with his insight to how he was listening to Emo Kev in the recordings.
God I miss hearing these two talk all the time. The smodcasts have helped me through my work day and life so often, and hold a special place in my heart. Thanks for sharing this.
"Should I answer the door?" "Dreams aren't real and you can ignore them." "I know I'm capable of happiness, I just forget how." "I'm the king of dark notions." "You don't revel in the wonder of you." "The mighty sea wants to greet you, Kevin Smith. It has things to tell you." Those are some of the best quotes of our generation.
Bryce Flowers dude its a good thing it doesnt show how much i actually listen ti this you would all think I'm psycho. Lol funny how we cling to free delicious therapy so hard lol
I must of listened to this a dozen times now and it always makes me feel better. There are so many great moments in it and I am so happy Kev shared it. I would love a Mr Parlo bumper sticker, and I still have my rack system in a box in the garage...
LMAO!! 1:25:48 "the batman phase" this was by far some of my favorite podcast eps by Kevin smith and his recent ep's about him recovering after the heart attack with the recording he made before he went to film school was excellent. I think stuff like this is just why I respect and genuinely love Kev and Scott so much, they both bring something to the conversation that makes and otherwise "cringe" video into a true masterpiece, their openness(in particular Kev's) is so humbling and yes even I admit I was and at some point still am EMO Kev lol. But stuff like this where I can laugh at some of my darker comments because I know its all a process and im not alone in feeling that way sometimes makes it a lot less isolating Im really happy they did this, thanks for uploading dude.
Emily Kresl Rocks how does this serve purpose to your soul? Not sarcastically asking at all, I'm being very sincere wondering how undeveloped thoughts of needing purpose and over dramatising it is helpful?
@@anonymousguy1188 if you listen to this in full you would know exactly what I mean. It fills your heart meter and makes you reevaluate life and lets you laugh at being emo itself in a safe place while providing rich knowledge and harsh lessons in relationships, confidence, loyalty, love and the value of a rack system.
I’ve returned to these episodes so many times. It’s incredibly comforting to hear them reflecting on twenty year old kev’s angst and sadness with laughs and reassuring words, gives me the feeling that things are gonna be ok
I listened to this for the first time in '13 in an apartment I no longer live in, chopping vegetables for a slow-cooker pot-roast on a winter Sunday afrernoon. So comfy. I've listened to this thing 10+ times since. It's comfort food, y'all.
I’m not the biggest fan of Kevin Smith, but this is one of the most entertaining podcasts of all time. I listen to it every few months. I wish he would find some more old recordings.
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS...i only started listening to smodcast this past year, so i would've never known about this if you hadnt posted it. and thanks for editing it together so i dont have to go to back episodes to find it
I wish someone would make a compilation like this for TESD Houston. I have fan-made compilations of TESD Making Hay 1 & 2,& Hollywood Babble-On Comic-Con Theater:Batman Cacophony,or else I'd want them too. But if you ever get the time,I'd really like a TESD Houston compilation. Great job on this!
This reminds me of a book I read called "How far is never?" about a guy obsessed with The Smith's. Emo Kev and the protagonist "Joe Green" could be the same person.
Listened to this years ago, and it only made me laugh then, here I am now, sharing it w/ my Wife an son an they’re Only laughing about it, my son-“Dad, can I have a tape recorder? Is that still a thing?” He’s 10-goin’ on 11 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 The answer? I will find one-Oh yes, I will. Lol
the irony that kevin said he wonders if he will ever listen to SModcast 20 years from now and judge his comments. Technically he's already done that twice within 8-9 years of these episodes. In episode 300 him and Mosier listened to their first ever episode, and I forgot what episode, but when Prince died said he replayed where he talks about his Prince encounter.
I think you have to sub to Kevin Smith Club. Inconvenient because I wanna see early stuff just to hear offhand comments they make that are indicative of the times. Hearing when Kev started smoking weed would be cool too
