Rest in Peace, Joe Flaherty. His Count Floyd character also appeared on "The Completely Mental Misadventures of Ed Grimely" and "Cartoon Planet" (spin-off from Cartoon Network's "Space Ghost Coast to Coast"). He co-starred with Dave Thomas in "Sesame Street Presents: Follow that Bird" as the Sleaze Brothers. John Candy who died in 1994 acted the State Trooper who arrested them for abducting Big Bird.
State Farm Insurance sent me the Curriculum with the Video about 20 years ago. Last year, for the 1st time I could not use the video because all the VCR's/TV's were removed. Bummer. I just found Count Floyd on the RU-vid and he's back in my classroom! Thank you, RU-vid. My students loved this and their homework tonight is to work with their families on fire safety and prevention ...and a way to get out in the event of a fire!!!
I remember watching this when I was in kindergarten on a lesson in fire safety, or was it 1st grade? Oh well. Anyway, I was searching for something with vampire and smoke detectors, and here I found this, after all these years.
I remember back in the mid 90s the fire department in my city ran a fire safety program in the summer and they played this video. I was just randomly thinking about it and glad to see this again. I love nostalgia from my childhood.
I've been looking for this for years. Lmao, I remember it from second grade circa '93. Ending song still stuck in my head to this day. Cringey but I learned something.
Saw this a couple decades ago for cub scouts; it's been an occasional memory since Also, what if they actually set Daniel on fire to do the stop, drop, and roll
yooooo I saw this in 5th grade and haven't been able to find it until now. I like how at 12:03 he "changes the battery" and "tests" an ESL 445 wired system detector with no battery or test button XD 😂
