Me and my dad watched this movie in the early 90s on TV and I really remember him telling me „If I die, play this song on my funeral“. He passed away last week on 21.01.2021 at the age of 83. I will fulfill that wish.
This movie, “Always”, started the ghost romantic drama trend that paved the way for that other more famous movie “Ghost”. To this day, I’ve considered this the better movie. And JD Souther really nailed this cover of the song made famous by The Platters.
I am always shocked this movie isn't well known at all....great movie, big name stars, including being Audrey Hepburn's last film, directed by Spielberg, score by John Williams.....what gives??!!
Jessica McAtarian Totally agree. Spielberg clearly had big goals for this movie or he wouldn’t have packed the screen to the rafters with luminaries. I even thought this might be a revival of Dreyfus’ star. Somewhere along the way, circumstances clearly panned out differently. But this will always be a memorable movie for me.
E tudo acabou exatamente no ano de 1989. Digo: - As MELHORES MÚSICAS DO MUNDO.
This is a great version of one of the most beautiful songs ever written, and Always is one of the most underrated movies ever made. If you haven't seen it then see it, you'll never forget it.
This was the first movie my true love and I watched at the theatre in 1989. In the end, I drove her away. I never got over it. This song chokes me up every time I hear it. I finally bought the DVD a couple of months ago. I have yet to watch it. How I wish I could turn the clock back.😭
My late grandmother loved this movie. Heard an instrumental to this song the other day and took me a while to figure out where I knew it from, but I found it!
I heard this song for the first time in this beautifull movie, and i fell in love with this song. This cover is better, than original i think. Anyway thank you for this beautifull memories!
They asked me how I knew my true love was true Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, I, of course replied "Something here inside cannot be denied" (Do-do-do, do-do-do, do-do-do, whoa) They said, "Someday, you'll find all who love are blind Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, when your heart's on fire You must realize smoke gets in your eyes" So, I chaffed them, and I gaily laughed To think they could doubt my love Yet, today, my love has flown away I am without my love (without my love) Now, laughing friends deride tears I cannot hide Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, so I smile and say "When a lovely flame dies Smoke gets in your eyes" (smoke gets in your eyes) Smoke gets in your eyes
@@Mario4JC The version by The Platters is the best, but it is not the original version. The original is from around 1933 from a musical called "Roberta," I believe. It sounds like 20s/30s music. Almost sounds like a completely different song. No one will ever do it better than The Platters. It's peaceful, mesmerizing, heartbreaking, and beautiful.
I couldn't be more focused or oblivious to some condition that when I'm at my best I'm being dragged Kicking and Screaming , but you have to give your thoughts a piece of a pie that later wanted so badly and earlier sought to dismiss , then prepare for when your seas get rough and your rocks can't seem to be anywhere near what obviously said they were far , and get your self ready for a little ground that has proposed To Who will Always remember a stretch of Sand that a great big Wound let everybody see Was Just Hearing Things !
They asked me how I knew My true love was true Oh-oh-oh-oh, I, of course, replied "Something here inside Cannot be denied" (Ooh, ooh, ooh) They said, "Someday you'll find All who love are blind" Oh-oh-oh-oh When your heart's on fire You must realize Smoke gets in your eyes So, I chaffed them As I gaily laughed To think they would doubt our love Yet today, my love has gone away I am without my love (without my love) Now, laughing friends deride Tears, I cannot hide Oh-oh-oh-oh So, I smile and say "When a lovely flame dies Smoke gets in your eyes" Smoke gets in your eyes Smoke gets in your eyes Smoke gets in your eyes
Einerseits ein trauriger Liebesfilm. Andererseits Alle Achtung und Bewunderung für alle Feuerengel in Montana !! Ich liebe diesen Film mit ganzem Herzen. Sehr bewegender und nachdenklich Film zugleich
I can't allow myself another Inch take me any further away from If there were miles and miles of Fire and Brimestone Some that could , if I were to be an inch that layed across them Couldn't be more happy to have had them supporting what shared and why what didn't Tried And Tried where absolutely no One Lies !
This is certainly the right time to dial up a cure for where your eyes have somewhat wondered into a little danger and if there was a time to be seeing clearly " at least " there are some reasons for calm a and cooler days ahead , but if for some reason you do get a good taste of why it is just best to keep an accident where no one can intercede and live to fight another day , perhaps it may make another call to which some unreasonable spark appears out of the clear blue yonder and somehow found the perfect way to even a score that any monsoon knows Won't Last Forever !
