In this video we are smoking chicken leg quarters. Leg quarters are very underrated, inexpensive, and delicious part of a chicken. With this smoked recipe there are few ingredients that make these chicken quarters absolutely delicious and easy to make. If you don't have a smoker or a grill these can be made in the oven too! If you are looking for a little smokey flavor just add a little liquid smoke along with the olive oil. Manual Focus
Chicken Quarter recipe and smoking directions
Heat pellet grill or smoker to 250 degrees. Smoke Chicken quarters for 3hrs at hour number two base the chicken quarters with your favorite BBQ sauce. Allow to glaze and cook for 20 mins and then glaze quarters again and cook for and additional 20 mins.
Ingredients
Sweet Peeper Seasonings or favorite BBQ rub
Olive oil
Favorite BBQ Sauce

At least 165° but you can hit 175° with the qtrs and they will still be juicy.

Awesome man. I just got my 540 yesterday and I cooked some burgers last night. Have some chicken breast on right now. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to charcoal lol. Can’t believe all you do is hit a button and set the temp. Stupid easy

These can go up to 175-180⁰. So about 3hrs @250⁰ but depending on what temp you are smoking could be more or less.

Last November Lowe's had a black Friday sale on their Pit Boss Smoker/Cookers. I miss out about 3 years ago on a deal but this time I jumped at the deal the gave. It was a Pit Boss 1150 model. They gave FREE assembly and FREE delivery ! The big thing was getting a $500 off the retail price. I have used it two times since I got it. My deep freezer is full of food from my last cooking of my Char-Broil propane grill.. I found out that the Pit Boss 1150 has both WIFI and Blue tooth. What would I ever do with that. I downloaded their APP and installed it my phone. The first thing it told me it needed to do a firmware update of the grill. After about 10 minutes it finished. I can monitor and change my cooking temp and monitor my meat probes. I have noticed from our local grocery store they are selling a lot of cooking pellets of all kinds.@@CookingwithManualFocus

Put the seasoning under that skin then fold the skin back over that way it’s getting directly on the meat and not just the skin
