Smokey was my hero since 1970, I was 9 years old and first heard The Tears of A Clown. A great start to the greatest decade since WWII - The 1970’s. Also Smokey was my inspiration to learn music. A true MAN in every sense of the word. We are all AMERICANS first and foremost. Like Smokey said we are all of mixed blood - but United we STAND for one commonality AMERICA the free, the just, the good, the tolerant, we are one Nation under GOD, with Liberty and the Freedoms we are willing to fight for - to fight till the death!! Never in our history of This World - has there been a more powerful, a more rich, a more beautiful, a more generous, a more tolerant, or a more loving & kind Country to ever exist.

You have to wonder how many grasp it. And this is all most Americans outside of rural Alabama see it. We have no problem with a black man who love being Black and also loves being an American because that is what the American mainstream is all about. We can all be us, as individuals, as groups, and at the same time all be Americans, one people. E Pluribus Unum.

It’s strange that we judge each other by race as it is not biologically warranted in any way. There are tribes of isolated ‘black’ people in Africa who are more different from each other than each of them are from certain white Europeans. This was the result of the Human Genome Project. The woke left constantly tell us that gender is socially constructed. This is untrue, but race is actually a social construct.

Let me Begin by saying, that I've been getting a lot of notifications on RU-vid, about Trevor Noah standing up against Cancel Culture and defending Comedy. Being interviewed by half-breed black woman from BBC. Who evidently does not know about Black Culture. And the ends and out about, Comedy. But let me first comment on (black ism). In other words knowing what you are as a Black human being. No different than a red yellow black or white person, we are all human beings who came from the same Ancestry from the Garden of Eden. So, let me introduce you to someone who has written on this subject and has said it more eloquently than me, his name is John McWhorter, On the subject, Call me Black. That's written with a capital B. Not African-American. Published on the internet on September 18th 2004 Or thereabouts. The following is his work on this subject. Read the following, this is noteworthy and educational. It's time we descendants of slaves brought to the United States let go of the term African-American and go back to calling ourselves black -- with a capital B. Modern America is home now to millions of immigrants who were born in Africa. Their cultures and their identities are split between Africa and the United States. They have last names like Onwughalu, Nwangwu and Senkofa. They speak languages like Wolof, Twi, Yoruba and Hausa, and speak English with an accent. They were raised on African cuisine, music, dance and dress styles, customs and family Dynamics. Their children often speak or at least understood their parents native language. Living descendants of slaves in America neither knew their African ancestors nor even have Elder relative who knew them. Most of us Worship in Christian churches. Our Cuisine is more Southern U.S. than Senegalese < meaning, of or relating to the republic of Senegal or a native or inhabitant of Senegal. Starting with Ragtime and Jazz, we give America intoxicating musical beats based on African conceptions of Rhythm, but with Melody and Harmony based on Western traditions. Also, we speak English. Black Americans home speech is largely based on local dialects of England and Ireland. Africa echoes in the dialect only as a whisper, in certain aspects of sound and Melody. A working-class black man in Cincinnati has more in common with a working-class white man in the Providence of Rhode Island then with a Ghaaian. With the number of African immigrants in the United States nearly tripling since 1990, the use of African-American is becoming increasingly strained. For example, Alan Keyes, the Republi It may not be perfect, but no turn is. Senate candidate in Illinois, has claimed that as a descendant of slaves, he is a real African American, compared with his Democratic rival, Barack Obama, who has an African father and white mother. And the reason keys and others are making arguments such as this is rather small, the idea being that African-Americans should refer only to people with a history of subordination in this country - as if African immigrants such as Amadou Diallo, Who was killed by police while reaching for his wallet, or Caribbean one such as torture victims Abner Louima have found the United States to be the land of Oz. We are not African to any meaningful extent, but we are not white either -- and that is much of why Jesse Jackson presentation of the term African-American caught on so fast. It sets us apart from the mainstream. It carries an air of standing protest, a reminder that our ancestors were brought here against their will, that their descendants were treated like animals for centuries, and that we have come a long way since then. But we need a way of sounding those notes with a term that, first, make some sense and, second, does not insult the actual (African-Americans taking their place in our country) [ Who has immigrated to our country]. And our name must also celebrate our history here, in the only place that will ever be our home. To term ourselves as part “African” reinforce a sad implication; that our history is basically slave ships, plantations, lynching, fire hoses In Birmingham, Atlanta, and then South Central, in Los Angeles, and that we need to look back to Mother Africa, to feel good about ourselves. But what about the black business districts that thrive across the country after slavery was abolished? What about Frederick Douglass, Ida B Wells, W.E.B. Du Bois, Gwendolyn Brooks, Richard Wright and Thurgood Marshall, none born in Africa and all deeply American people? And while we're on Marshall, what about the Civil Rights Revolution, a moral Awakening that we gave to ourselves and the nation. My roots Trace back to the working-class Black people-- Americans, not foreigners-- and I'm proud of it. I am John Hamilton McWhorter the fifth. Four men with my name an appearance, doing their best in a segregated America, came before me. They and their Dearest are the heritage that I can feel in my heart, and they knew the sidewalks of Philadelphia and Atlanta, not Sierra Leone. So, we will have a name for ourselves - and it should be Black “Colored” and “Negro” had their good points but carry a whiff of Plessy v. Ferguson and Bull Connor about them, so we will let them lie “Black” isn't perfect, but no term is. So, we will have a name for ourselves - and it should be Black “Colored” and “Negro” had their good points but carry a whiff of Plessy v. Ferguson and Bull Connor about them, so we will let them lie “Black” isn't perfect, but no term is. Meanwhile, a special value of “Black” is that it carries the same pointed combination of Pride, remembrance and regret that “African-Americans” was designed for. Think of what James Brown meant with, Say It Loud, I'm Black and I'm Proud and then imagine say it loud I'm African-American and I'm proud." [And think about what Smokey Robinson said when he verbalize his poem on a popular TV show on being black. A Black American" poem (Wonderful)] [Insertion mine, Adding to the truth of the matter] ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JRfYMgZekMo.html Since the late 1980s, I have gone along with using “African-American” for the same reason that we throw rice at a bride -- because everybody else was doing it. But no more. From now on, in my writings on Race I will be returning to the word I grew up with, which reminds me of my True Self and my ancestors who worked here to help make my life possible: Black And there you have it, John McWhorter saying it proudly, saying it from his heart, that he's Black, he's Black and he's proud. And I'm proud to bring his writing on Race back to the surface where it should be. Please make sure Trevor Noah sees this comment backing him up, and every word he says about race. And this woman reporter from the BBC. I take no credit for John McWhorter writings here it is in Black and White, Published online by houstonchronicle.com. Call me black that's with a capital B At the time of this writing McWhorter is a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute. well, with that impressive history, why is being proud of that African heritage something anyone shouldn't be proud of? If I were black, I know I'd be proud of that African heritage.... SMokey's an extraordinarily talented smart man, but I just don't think he wants to get this one. Nobody is making him call himself Afro-American but if those black folks who are out there in the streets fighting for a better life for black folks want to call themselves Afro-Americans , how is that a bad thing? It's hard to understand the degree of defensiveness on this issue that Smokey clearly has.
