On this episode I continue with the ongoing restoration of this 1979 Kenworth W900A truck to turn it into a tribute movie truck to the one used in the 1977 classic movie Smokey and the Bandit with Burt Reynolds, Jerry Reed and Jackie Gleason. On this episode I wanted to share something special that was delivered from RU-vid. Thanks to all the viewers, fans and especially the subscribers that love old trucks as much as I do and enjoy watching me find, fix, talk about and drive them! This channel is all about trucks and if you keep watching, I’ll keep posting and believe me, there’s lots still to come
So today I decided to attack the exterior of Project Snowman and decided to try a little trick a viewer suggested to clean up the huck bolt (rivets) that are used to attach all the body panels together. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out as well as I’d hoped, but I found another way as you’ll see in the video. After getting my fill of huck polishing, I decided to try a new tool I picked up to speed up and hopefully improve the process of sanding down the large flat panels. Slow going but in the end it’ll all be worth it when I finally get to lay down some etching primer followed by a coat of high build.
