just watched this movie last night... holy shit I was laughing so hard at this scene "it sure is beautiful up here in heaven" gawd... I don't know how Ben Affleck kept a straight face through this whole scene
I remember watching this for the first time and thinking there was no way they did my boy, Ben Affleck, like this. Such a genius move in terms of shock.

Grew up being a Ben Affleck fan, I was about 14 when I asked my mom to buy this movie for me since it had Ben Affleck top billed and a starring role, to this day this death and Leonardo DiCaprio's in The Departed are the ones that have shocked me.
@@sunsetman22 First 30 minutes If i remember correctly. Lol. I, as a big Ben Affleck fan was like "WTF?!". But DiCaprio's death in The Departed was way better, that was a holy shit moment.
The song the Tremor Brothers are listening to is "Like Light to the Flies" by Trivium. The song is about how humanity is perpetually attracted to violence and tragedy, unable to see the bigger picture, often espousing hypocrisy and denial along the way. That no matter how justified one may be, the draw towards tragic ends is like a light to the flies. Very fitting for the whole movie.
This is one of those moments in Cinema where everyone asked "who is that guy? He's good." Such an interesting performance by Chris Pine. I've been a fan ever since and he was awesome in Dungeons and Dragons.
So apparently after this scene, Ben Affleck said to the director "If I could take ten percent of what I'm going to make in my career and bet on anybody, I'd bet on that kid."
I saw this movie in the teater with my bro and a friend and it was packed. Only me and my bro were laughin the entire time chris messed with bens face! Hard on laughin. How can you not laugh? Makin this scene must have been hiiiigh-larious!!
I came to this scene for that specific reason because I’ve been watching Pink Floyd the wall and it sounds like similar background music in a few of the scenes in the Pink Floyd the wall movie
I love how the movie tried to make Ben Affleck and his team look very professional, competent, & well-read on the target and the competition. Then they get hosed by a bunch of mentally-challenged skinheads a quarter of the way into the movie. That's how you subvert expectations without pissing off the audience. Not to mention Chris Pine using Ben Affleck's face as a puppet was just hilarious.
