Man, watchin you and Zack cut up and have fun is so rewarding. I just watched Season 1 of your Wilderness Living Challenge. The personality in this one is a huge improvement. I can tell you're doing better on this season than the first. I love that you're living off the land but also using all the tools at your disposal. You made a point from S1 that it's nearly impossible to fully live off nature, even with our tools due to the modern world's patterns, habits, and laws. Can't wait to finish this season. Thank you for your vids and your perspective. It's so nice to see others who share my mindset.
Glad to see you overcame the hunger and are making it through. I can only imagine how hungry you guys are. It's so hot and humid here in West Michigan today i wasn't sure what to do...now I get to spend some time watching a new video. Love Tuesday's and Friday's! Cheers to a great weekend sir
these challenges are crazy. i made heated floors in my shelter that doubles as a smoker. it was so pretty challenging to film and upload the process though. mad respect to you being able to record these whole challenges.
Full stop, me and a buddy are planning a camping trip in a couple weeks, and this gets me jazzed for it even more, thanks Chris, you are a huge inspiration to me and my open-mindedness on edible treats in the wilderness!
Well you guys totally got me I am making a clam stew with WOODOBO tonight. Ill be catching crawdads out of the Connecticut river this weekend... and I'm totally going to woodobo them.
I binge watched the cabin series and watch all the pond episodes you had posted. After i watch the rest of this episode I'll be caught up on every episode of the wilderness living challenges.
One thing to consider is that when you eat such clean and naturally occuring food it increases your metabolism greatly. Heck, I help people lose weight by getting them to eat more animals and plants. As crazy as it sounds maybe you should look for ways to slow your metabolism.
I must admit that I have been watching your channel for a long time. For me, it's a form of escape from everyday life. I admire you and I wish you a lot of health.
Always look forward to watching these wilderness living challenges, on my third woodobo container, great tasting spice works great on smoked venison, your adventures bring a great escape to the normal routine of this crazy world, calming when I cannot get out to the wild, keep up the adventures they are a joy to watch! I'm out...
Come to one in New Hampshire. All this all sorts of places you can do camping in the White Mountains. Plus I want to meet you. I love and watch your shows as much as I can. Okay
Divide and conquer! You gather all the wood, chop it, stack it, build the fire, and cook dinner... I'll be over here building a... table we don't need?
Full stop👍 A little late to the party today due to travel and likely pinging off a Canadian cell tower but it’s Friday so I had to watch it. Thanks for sharing.
Full Stop each time everytime! Good stuff WB. Cant wait to see a Plucked 🦃 over the 🔥. Clam, lobster & Turkey stew with cattails sounds like a good call to me! Keep em coming brother WB!
In Georgia (not state of America) we call this "corn cake" "MCHADI" it is a georgian tradition dish, here we have meny different kinds of MCHADI with cheese and many different things inside of it. you can search it on youtube "მჭადი" (copy this word which means MCHADI in georgian lanuage) or "ჭვიშტარი" (which means mchadi with cheese) and watch any video how people actually make it. i think you will like it. also #spenyoursummeringeorgia dear tourists 💚💚💚
Another great video I really appreciate the effort that you put into these videos, the explaining and the desire to keep doing them. Challenges like these are hard. Let alone all the filming and packing around cameras and gear. Very well done my friend I look for this inspiration everytime I log on, keep inspiring us!
I watch every single video of both Zach and Chris. I do watch a few others for Bushcraft and primitive technology. I would love to see Chris build things near the cabin. Rock BBQ stove, maybe even a rock oven in the ground. I wonder what would be the weirdest thing to cook from a wild source using natural seasonings. Maple syrup/sugar.. no Wodobo.. full stop.
Hey wood beard, you should grow a small batch of carbohydrates like corn or wheat or some type of oats so your not "cheating" • I love the concept of these series I've been watching since the first season keep up the good work
I think this challenge and this video and all the videos from The challenge are absolutely wonderful I love watching them over and over again this is so freaking cool. You guys should do this again.
I enjoy watching these challenges and all the content on your channel. The Woodobo seasoning is awsome, took it with me on my last camping trip with the family.
Nice vid again Chris ...seriously though a fork and spoon wouldn't be sacrilegious to have around ...a lobster a day and corn bread seems preety good ..that's about $120 + restaurant meal ., ☺☺☺
Try being broke like me rn. haven't ate in like 30 hours. Have some sugarless flavor stimulants like caffeine drinks for energy and to make it easier. you start feeling so refresh a
Looking gaunt mate, skeleton mode is setting in. The ginger lich of the swampy ditch. Should do a Mcnuggets challenge in between your next wilderness survival.
Full stop. Loved the video! Couldn't wait to watch it!. Now that you have your blind set up hopefully inn the right spot due to scouting. Get there in the dark when they are asleep make no noise set up and sit still. Make a call or two then shut up. A hen they calls constantly is desperate and is a human hungry for meat. Next vid better be of you blasting a tom!
I watch all your challenges and wonder why its so much harder to survive in todays enviroment. Is it the like of available food. or the fact our ancestors had no hunting restrictions on them. Maybe you could cover this topic in a future video. I just know that i admire your perserverance.
Gerald Moore both. Less wild game from habitat loss and pollution, plus restrictions make it harder since you can’t just hunt whatever you want. I can’t even go fishing around here, water is so polluted that the fish have started bleeding through their skin with no explanation why, no way in hell am I about to consume that.
bet it weird to do this season with so many people around, what do you think has been your biggest learning thing in maine for example lobster pot baiting or new wild edibles?
Nice video as always! FYI the cat tail roots that you can find underwater are full of starch! Available all year round and you can just put it on the fire to cook :)
full stop. Yes, you should build a primitive shelter with a fire pit. That way we can watch you camp in the snow and ice fish off the pond next winter. lol
Excellent video ..you guys are eating like kings ..i smoke gaspereau for years and really enjoy them .mm on the lobster and clams ..good job buys .I was out on our spring bear hunt here in N.B. Canada ,and got one last day ,,now to make sausage and summer sausage and a smoke hame from my bears ,steaks and roast
I got interested in Bushcraft a few years ago, and the skills learned in that endeavor are invaluable. However, I’ve come to the realization that Nessmuck, Jim Bridger, Kit Carson and the like would curse us for not using modern technology and materials. So now I utilize what makes sense, and consider myself more an outdoorsman than anything!
Maine is the only US state I’ve not been too... I may have flew over it but I’ve never put a foot on Maine soil... lobsters then moose as for animals Maine is known for !
