Been following you for a couple of years now. Despite being the smoothest snowboarder I've ever seen, I think your style got way better with time. At the beginning I honestly thought it wouldn't be possible to improve and you proved me wrong. Amazing. Best regards from Italy (season starting in 15 days...)

Best style I've seen so far. Most softbooters look like gummybears on the Piste. And there are not so many hardbooters left. Of those, there are not many who can really carve well. But your style is unparalleled. Elegant, smooth and fast. A real evolutionary step in snowboarding...

Fantastic video and lovely smooth riding. Love the arm slides: reminiscent of motorcycle knee slides. Looking forward to watching more. I think you need to try a tour of other resorts / slopes as I think you'd be great as a way of showing them off to the world and promoting them. Maybe you'd get a sponsor.

Your riding style has changed a lot since this video. I think in these times you didn't make as much speed as you do now, but with the small radius board, you could still create a lot of movement. Anyway, this video is what got me into wanting to be better at shredding, amazing style.

Vids like this are currently WAY beyond my skillset, but damn it's cool to see the possibilities to aim for. Coming from one sport where I got very comfy being near the ground, to one where I'm still finding my groove, your carving tips have been awesome to speed up the progress. Simple, logical, ideas that allow me to understand what I'm feeling and make incremental changes. So, thanks I guess. 👍

I can't stop slavering every time I see these vids. Awesome stuff. I imagine the conditions help tons, I wish I could even get near a slope that wide, with perfect snow and FLAT! Trying to do some of those things in narrow pistes, with icy snow that by the time is soft has bumps all over it just plains sucks. Not kidding myself though, even if I were on those perfect conditions I would be nowhere near that level, but it's good to have an excuse ;)

So your form is impeccable, probably the best I have ever seen. However, in previous videos you teach riding with a somewhat open shoulder. Also, despite having masterful edge control, your shoulders do appear a little open. This is how I prefer to ride as well, but everything I am taught as part of AASI (American Association of Snowboard Instructors) really emphasizes riding with the shoulders "stacked", keeping them aligned with the board. Any comments Ryan? We need your help.

his spins look effortless. I just found the secret to spinning on a SB: it's all in the hips. You initiate spins with your arms, but if that energy doesn't translate to your hips, you ain't gonna spin. There, now you know.

Ryan, I just ordered Donek 160cm twin. Sean said its very similar to your spec but mine is little softer. I was wondering if you have any recommendation on bindings and boots?
