You don't understand how disapointed I am that Ikusuki didn't make a pun about falling off tartarus when he died. Like, if he said "See you next fall!" or something, I would love him forever.
When I first played I accidentally got half spoiled that Ikutsuki kills Takeharu. I stopped reading there but my peripheral vision picked up about the killing happening to save the SEES members. I assumed Ikutsuki would save us and Takeharu was going to betray us. ): Sorry I doubted you Takeharu.
The first time I played Persona 3, I had a feeling that he was bad, but after all the so called 'advice' about getting rid of the Dark Hour he gave SEES, I dismissed that feeling. And Ikutsuki does sort of look like Takaya. If only he had yellow-ish eyes, no glasses, and no clothes.
The scene when ikutski falls off of tartarus as he is laughing maniacally is truly a beautiful scene it just proves how insane he really was and somehow managed to trick you for months
In my first playtrought I was like "Hmm, This man is bad guy", then I was like "nah, he's lame as fuck".. And then I was like "HOLY CRAP I WAS RIGHT" and then he died...
Mitsuru has her evoker, she raises it to her head, ready to stop Ikutsuki. That's when Aigis jumps on them. As for how she knocked them all unconcious, I can only imagine that she entered Orgea Mode, then started bashing them over the head at super-human speed. And, for why Mitsuru (or anyone else for that matter) didn't, at least, try to summon their own persona, I think none of them ACTUALLY expected Aigis to comply with Ikutsuki's demands, so Aigis had the element of surprise.
I feel like this was a MUCH BIGGER twist than who the real culprit is in persona 4. It was a twist, but your like "oh that makes sense." However, in this one your like "WHAT?! That is just insane!"
God, I love the song that plays during the betrayal, and as the Minato Arisato Shadow appears out of the portal in The Answer, after Aigis' memory. I wish I knew the name. Anyone know?
Thanks so much! I forgot I asked! I swear I searched through the entire OST for this back in the day. I must have skipped over this gem. It fits the scenes very well, but now I kinda wish it lead up to more. As a tension builder it does a great job, but it's just too short too keep it on loop without feeling like it goes nowhere. Why is the main character the only one who can die in battle, while the others just become uncouncious? It would be cool if when you become uncouncious, you just can't battle but you can watch the battle and maybe yukari can revive you or something.
He doesn't exactly die but without a field leader, the rest of the party has no idea what to do. Without someone to lead them in battle, SEES would no longer be able to go to Tartarus, nor defeat the shadows. If it happened around this time, there would have been no one to stop the fall unless say Aigis decided to do it.
I think they did it to balance out. Your teammates can't control their weaknesses and abilities, but you can, so the game expects you to use them in a way that doesn't kill you.
There's also the implication that prior the end of the 13 shadows, Death inside of the protagonist will be unleashed and bring forth the fall way too early, with no way at all to prevent it from happening with no protag/Ryoji coming forth
It doesn't help with the fact that this guy (Shuji Ikutsuki's voice actor) also voices Byakuya Kuchiki from Bleach, you know, the first villain Ichigo fought other than Renji and Kenpachi.
@Awesomeuserdude what i dont get it is why mitsurus father didnt comment on ikutskis involvment during the experiment 10 years earlier. he had to of known that he was a raving lunatic. and i think the clue was there the whole time. his lack of a role in this story. all we knew about him was that we was the chairman for our school and that he made lame jokes. everytime there was a question that needed to be answered that wasnt too revealing, he always had the right answer, but never gave up any information unless he had to.
my experience with this event beginning of the game: um, okay, so this chairman guy has you join this group watches a video recording: um, is there suppose to be a recording that shows him as some form of traitor? takes the group on a vacation: well, okay, he did something nice for them SEES tells him about strega: well, i thought he was their leader or something, guess he isn't ikutsuki's betrayal: so he DID betray our team after all!
Minato's Poker Face means this--since he's gonna become the Great Seal, he's actually practicing the exact pose taken. As for Aigis, despite her being as much a victim as the party is, she afterwards acts like she's responsible and apologizes profusely, DESPITE already being forgiven by the others! Though who wouldn't right?
I'd say Ikutsuki. The other two are comparable--especially Adachi, but there's something about a character deceiving the entire playable cast and leaving more problems afterward. >_>

There is absolutely no way she'd have ever been able to defeat SEES let alone the Protagonist. She's weak to Zio and is going up against several enemy Persona users at once. Only a couple Zios from Akihiko Ken or Makoto would've incapacitated her easily. This whole scene makes zero sense.
It takes hours before suffocation begins, and even then it's an agonizingly slow process. That's why crucifixion is one of the most cruel methods of execution (even moreso if someone is nailed to the cross rather than tied).
i love how in persona 3 and 4 especially in 4 actually... the storyline reveals are really unexpected ahh....i'm still waiting for Persona 5 until then i'm stuck with Persona 4 Gold...

P4 doesn't really surprise me when i really think about it. It's a small town with a relatively small amount of people living within it. We went around town searching for the true killer but we can't just find who it actually was even though we were always so close to it. Mitsuo is a straight no for me because if it was him from the start, he would already announced his presence when Saki is killed because of his personality. Also, Mitsuo have no chance of getting that close to any of them and/or have any idea about the TV world. Namatame is the closest we can get to be the main killer, his alibis are perfect to be the killer, but there's one glaring flaw within his own reason to kill them, he keeps saying to SAVE them, save them from what? The serial killings itself? It doesn't click with even the main cast until he kidnapped Nanako, which ultimately only serve as a bait in the story to hide the main killer by distracting the characters with Namatame acting upon his will to SAVE everyone. Even at one point, the game lets you think about who the killer actually is in a cutscene, because the game gives you full evidence who the main killer is, and that's what i like from the entire P4 story, the player engagement itself about who the killer is. Adachi is the perfect killer in the scenario, (even more than the initial Yukiko pre-development stage). He's a cop so he could always have a private moment with his victims, the gang would always meet him in places where the police conducts their investigation so he would always come as "not sus" to the main characters everytime. (plus the fact that he's Dojima's partner and closest friend would just dismiss the suspect out of him), he doesn't even have a reason to do it, no personal problems, no background story other than that one detail P4G added (him working hard to achieve his dreams as a police, ignoring all the fun of youth, only to make one mistake and then having him deported to Inaba, a small town. Grew up resenting society until he finally found solace in his life spending his days with Dojima and Nanako, at least until Yu shows up, making him feel alone again and hates Yu for it.) Him getting his ability comes from that damned gas station attendant. Him knowing about the TV world is a mistake from when he was trying to act bad cop in front of Yamano and then ends up doing it for his own fun with no reason at all. And he can just cover everything up by playing good cop. But because he's like this, he can easily be found out throughout the entire game. And confronting him is satisfying because you finally figured out the mystery using all the clues you find throughout the entire game. And that's one more reason i love Adachi more than Ikutsuki.
damn the darkness of this game really makes it so much more emotional I know we already got a remake in P3P but I really hope they remake it again and give it the P5 treatment

He could had been meant killing all of you so death could do whatever he wants, since destroying all 12 of the Shadows is the only way to bait death out and remove it.
