SMT: soo you have to have a perfect party for that boss, learn its weaknesses so that you could exploit them Also SMT: Yo i'll give you a random NPC, one of which will make boss do extra damage, cool?
It may be a very rage inducing fight, but boss battle, is a song you can’t help, but groove to, unless your getting your ass handed to you, like what happened to me in the fight against Xi Wangmu, because she kept criting my entire team with Megaton Press, after buffing herself complete bullshit, and god help you if she smirks.
BRUH, she is the only boss in the game so far that I felt was complete luck. She would megaton press…which would probably crit, and giver her smirk and another turn. Then she uses it again, instant death. It felt like a race to kill her before she used the move.
I have no idea how I managed to beat her on my first try. She smirked on her first turn and killed my strongest demons, and smirked again later. By the time I finally killed her I only had a couple fodder demons left I recruired for fodder. Scary girl.
pretty much yeah, citra scaled to 4x internal resolution (1600x960). The tradeoff for it looking so nice are some really flawed graphical bugs causing black boxes in combat and occasional stutters
I admit that when I first played SMT IV, I was so hyped for the fight after seeing people saying it was extremely difficult that it turned out to be disappointing. You know, I expected several tries and changes of strategies but in the end it was just Bufu+Bufu+Bufu+Sukukaja 😅
The thing about Minotaur is it's a complete dice roll whether the correct strategy will work. Roll well, and Minotaur will waste turns with basic attacks while Jonathan gives you free Bufu damage. Roll poorly, and Minotaur will get a free Oni Kagura Crit -> Focus -> Walter casts Agi -> Smirking Labrys Strike that wipes out three demons instantly, with almost nothing you can do about it. I have literally seen an SMT veteran with four Bufu casters on his team die five times in a row to Minotaur thanks to sheer rotten luck
Literally everyone playing smt 4: ha, this'll be easy- *Walter misses an attack the enemy smirks* Everyone: *panic* I did save before this, right...? Right?!
I think that if I were to see Minotaur whipping my party members like that over and over again on my first playthrough I wouldn't be the same guy I am today. So it's actually pretty good that game didn't really run in 4k resolution.
When I waqs getting footage for this / replaying smt4 I had a clip of beating I think it was just aries the first optional quest boss. When he dies, on the top screen theres like 2 seconds that it just shows the background in motion before the top screen shows exp gains. I took that 2 second clip and looped it with a fluid morph at the end so it kinda blended into itself
where did you get the things to edit this like the background text and the press turn icons? i cant find a video that has them alone to use in editing lol
