Andy, your advice and experience is invaluable to a guy in Ireland, who is about to begin work on a mark 5 Jetta - very much appreciated! I have been using Tiger Seal for several years now, on Land Rover Defender builds/rebuilds, and plan to use it on the Ute, so it is reassuring to hear that you rate it. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge 💯
Thank you and good luck with your build! The mark 5 has a couple little things that require a little finagling but I love driving them. I’ve like Tiger Seal. I’ve been using it now for the cab to bed seam and it works very nicely. It also seems to do well holding the little piece of trim on that you cut from the rear doors to continue the window trim line onto the rear window surround. Enjoy your build!
Just watched this again!!!!. Just caught that the forward wall is riveted to the footwell back face. I've watched the videos and read the Manual again and this doesn't seem to be mentioned. Any suggestion on rivet to rivet spacing distance. Thanks Andrew!
Getting ready to start my Charger and getting a bit of paralysis of the unknowns. I feel the cross over between all the Smyth Kits is applicable. Great video. Saw your Hemmings interview and agree to pick the level I want before I start as a goal. Thanks Andrew!
I have another video that is a little longer under the MK5 Jetta videos. There may be a little better cross over to the charger kit. Plus some discussion of different material. It might be helpful ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-115T98PXZog.html Thanks for your kind words!
@@hestermannmotorwerks That was a good link. I'm set to cut the roof Saturday. After that I'll treat the edges, and pump the brakes. This whole panel bond and sealer stuff has me wanting to understand how it coincides with the mechanical fastening before I go further. Great timing.
