I’ve had snap in dentures for a year and a half, top and bottom. 4 implants on top, 4 on bottom. And it’s been a nightmare. The top arch keeps breaking in half. I’m currently waiting on my fourth new top arch and my first new bottom arch and sitting here again without teeth and unable to eat solid food. I have spent my whole life savings on these teeth and I’ve gone without teeth more than I’ve had teeth in the last year and a half. The dentist tells me that if this doesn’t work, he can’t help me and I’m on my own. I have absolutely no idea where to turn next. I don’t have problems at all with my implants. It’s the arches that keep breaking. Any suggestions? I’m ready to have my abutments unscrewed, let my gums grow over them and be done with snap ins. Just thinking about how much money I’ve blown on this dream makes me wanna cry. Do you have any thoughts as to why this keeps happening and how it can be remedied
All on 4 is the way to go. Its gonna be worth the extra money. Some people do great with snap ons. Me, not good at all. Can't wait to get my Zirconia chompers. Even the temporaries are gonna be a treat for me. 😉
I’m going back to the dentist today probably for the 10th time I would give anything if I could talk to you and try to explain the problems I’m having.😢
I have been having problems with my snap on dentures from the very beginning. I leave the dentist office is in there tight. It only takes about a week or a little over before it starts getting loose and after two weeks it will not even stay snapped in at all. I have been back-and-forth back-and-forth, I noticed one implant since a little higher than the other would that cause a problem, my dentist/specialist says not. I don’t know what’s causing the problem, but it is affecting me mentally going back again this week. I have other health problems and it is really making everything worse.
