Geoff Drew thanks mate yeah i got too much respect for the grouper after going diving and they are such a friendly fish you can always get close for look at em Cheers mate 👍
Another EPIC informative video. Only critique would be and I realise the cost of another gopro, but switch to helmet cam instead of chest cam(assume recodring both at same time) as the head wobbles less when jumping rocks for the video. If I may ask each future video include a size chart for all fish caught and what the legal limits are for each fish caught. More people need to be educated about the legal size limits or at some point we have no more fish. 5/5 👍
Yeah i use a head cam now more in most of my videos instead of a chest cam but still use it sometimes bit like you say gopro are not cheap Thanks for the suggestion cheers 👍
Vasilii Kulikov hey mate shimano catana 902 shore spin 6-8 kg rod & a shimano solstance 4000 reel 10lb berkley fireline & a 14lb sunline fc rock leader 👍
hey sticky, ive got the money and ability to buy a alvey 455BXL blackfish reel . would you recomend it for me im a drummer addict and want to get stuck into a couple grouper ???
Hey mate yeah they are a good reel i got one to use for luderick and drummer but if you only fish for drummer and grouper i would look st one of the new alvey 5 inch reels they look good 👍
Good stuff fellas , release the resident groper and drummer (rock blackfish ) and take a feed of Snapper home for family. I think it boarders on insanity not to take a feed of fresh wild caught fish home for loved ones if you have caught some.
Great video. You really know your stuff. I'm interested in your rod reel setup, you use it for everything from float fishing for Lude's to drummer and even landing Groper. Can you give us some details on the blank and alvey model.
Jackvoodo yeah no worries mate if you gunner fish the rocks in the wash for dummer, snapper, grouper & that kind of stuff go Schneider klear line mono 15lb - 25lb it's good stuff its got more give on the rock then braid i prefer mono for rock fishing unless iam spinning with lures but if you go braid diawa j braid is good 🎣👍
tnks bro like yr vids n its great watching n would like to have such yr talents n its feels gud watching pls kip sending more pict enjoy n take care guys tnks pompeii
In this video size 1 ball sinker on to size hook cause i also was drummer fish but if your just after snapper use a 3/0 to 5,/0 hook or a paternoster rig with 4oz snapper lead same hook
The rod i was using is a 10.6ft Wilson shore line and the reel is a alvey blackfish 455b xl With 15lb Schneider klear line And the one the snapper was caught on is a Shimano catana 9ft rod And a shimano solstance 4000 reel with 10lb berkley fireline braid and a 14lb sunline fc rock leader 👍
They both work good cooked and raw prawn but i find cooked prawns say on the hook better and they stsnd out in the water more being orange and white goid bait 👍
@@dantolo817 all good mate yeah i do but no off the rock for snapper to snagy but they do work i use metal spinners and shallow diver lures for pelagics rock fishing
Hey mate😂 do you recon you can let me know where in port Stevens this place is because I'm going to head there with my family, if not , all good , thanks mate
Yusufsbord i would like to but iam not the only one that fishers there Don't think the locals would like it lol 😂 But boat harbour all fingal bay are good areas to fish plenty rocky head lands too fish Just look for a good spot with white wash and berley up with bread fish with cooked prawns in the wash get anything from snapper drummer bream grouper Also the pelagic are starting to show up so even chuck around a few metal spinners off the headlands Good luck mate hope that help cheers 🎣👍
Yusufsbord good luck mate Just berley up with bread helps bring them in off the rocks And cheap cookrd prawns for bait thats what i use work well cheers 🎣👍
musty a you can use just a hook with no sinker but when there is swell you need a nuff weight just to get it though the white water so it swells around just off the bottom still get caught on the bottom sometimes it all about the right weight of sinker for the conditions on the day 🎣👍
