I might be biased, but the Keyboard section always amazes me with their ability to play their keyboards with so much feeling, while using the the techniques required for those instruments - Organ, Rhodes, and Piano are different instruments - while always giving each other room to breathe. Truly special musicianship!

She feels the rhythm. Some children respond very strong on rhythmic music. My daughter did that with jazz and salsa. Have to send her this one too I realize now.

The melody line that the horns play, that simple melody and the build around it is the most enchanting thing about this song to me. That melody takes me back to New Orleans more than anything.

Love these new orlean style compositions, and especially Sput's work on the drums. As much as I love Larnell, there's something unique about Sput that makes him fit well in these styles of music.

Micheal League has said in interviews that he gives all the band members demos for them to learn by ear instead of scores to learn from sheet music. this apparently lets the band members feel the music instinctively instead of conditioning them to read the songs off of sheets it also helps that these guys have been playing and touring in snarky puppy for 17 years now, lol

Absolutely! But the beauty of it is that you can get as deep into it as you want. I could just as happily chuck Snarky Puppy on in the background while I'm just hanging out or getting stuff done, as I could lie down doing absolutely nothing but listening intently to their music, and as I could listen to and analyse it. They're so good from pretty much every angle of musical appreciation. Genius!

I just came across Snarky Puppy recently when a friend's nephew, a musician himself, turned me onto them. The more I listen, the more I like. It's fun just watching them jam, but the music is incredible. Lovin' Quarter Master and how it's kind of broken into three parts, but all a part of one song well melted together.

Favorite song by em' Reminds me of that New Orleans feel, not too far from where I am growing up. So in all, it reminds me of home and where I'd lived my whole life.
