Local Orlando resident here 👋🏼My family use to sneak into Disney in the 90s and early 2000s to fish. There are some ponds and lakes there that have more 5-10 lb bass than I’ve ever seen or caught. It’s insane, problem is they are insanely strict and have trail cams everywhere out there around the properties.

Local here- this is the slowest time of year for Bass, theyre few and far between like you experienced. There are 1000's of ponds like the ones you fished all over orlando. The wildlife is surprisingly real! Check out the shingle creek corridor some time
This is a more sophisticated method of what my friend and I do, instead of going to Disney though we go to our local golf course to fish for catfish and small tilapia species by sneaking through a hole in the fence
Hahaha it is great to be young huh? I think when you are younger, you can get away with it a little bit more. However, are you familiar with Deion Sanders’ escapades? At the Fort Myers airport back in the day, they had several fishing lakes, and Deion pulled his bass boat up, and just started fishing and they tried to get him out and ihe wouldn’t come in. He figured he’s getting a ticket, he’s going to bass fish while he did and get his money’s worth. Lol He only came in when they put a Ranger’s boat in there to come and get him. Hilarious story!!! In Florida, what all else fails, black trick worm with a jig head so the tail will stand up better. I used to Texas rig but it’s less effective in Florida from my experiences.
If they don't want fishing on lakes, then they should never stock the lakes with fish...that should Stop the "going into business for themselves" rule breakers...no fish = No courteous fishers
Iam a 500ton licensed Captain and was constantly busted by Disney Karen and Chad for "reckless operation" of a dingy with a 3hp motor on the Disney Lakes. They actually took my rental boat from me for fishing and operational "violations" the place is literally militant

Love the vids. Disneys Yatch and Beach Club offers fishing off of a pontoon boat with a “captain/guide” not sure the details but it’s the lake/canals that connects boardwalk epcot and hollywood studios.

So much fun, nice work and great vid! One year at the Yacht Club resort I saw MASSIVE fish hanging out by the docks. Security was pretty tight and no fishing signs were on the dock.....I hid an old rod and reel under one of the main docks leading out to the boats, sort of wedging it so it was secured under the dock pilings. The rod was crap so if someone took it I didn't care. I left it rigged with a big hook and then next morning snuck down with some hot dogs for bait. Caught at three 4 monster bass before security politely asked me to leave. Might be worth a shot to try yourself!
DISNEY WATERWAYS "ARE NOT STOCKED" !!! its just florida and the extremely low , next to zero fishing pressure, allows the fishery to be what it actually should be. so menay people are used to abused fisheries that they think this is so amazing. just way too much pressure everywhere.
I got married at Disney 18 years ago and we stayed at the yacht club. Since I already have a kid I spent my wedding night fishing and got kicked off on the boardwalk 3 times before they just left me alone. But I caught about 30 bass.
On the back side of the canal in the beginning of the video if you went across the spillway and down the canal there's a path through the woods that connects to a golf course. It opens up to a big pond full of big bass
Bro back in 1997 we did alien encounter/ tomorrow land demolition. The lake entering Disney literally as you make the bend… That lake we caught a 11.3 and a my brother caught 10.7 same cast together thunderstorm rolling in! Arkansas Slug Go! True story bro. Plus Disney property has 100’s of lakes however that was back then NOW its tough to get access. Good luck bud
Back in the early 90s when Disney still had those cable cars, snuck in on my friend's employee card and smoked a joint on those cable cars. Security was waiting at the end of the ride, but the joint was long done.
I grew up in Kissimmee, I used to do the same thing. There is a really nice lake in Disney Village, It’s totally manicured and surrounded by townhomes. You can get access to the whole thing. I caught a 9 pounder and my buddy caught a 12 pound 14 oz. We used to fish there every Sunday morning. As long as we looked like tourists we never had any problems. You should check it out.
When I was a kid, we used to always stay on Disney resorts when my grandparents took me. We would ALWAYS bring our fishing rods and fished wherever we could. Until one year, a security guard came up and yelled at me to stop fishing. I went and told my Grandpa who was not happy. He went up to the Front Desk of the resort and demanded to speak to the manager. The guy in charge of the entire Disney resort talked to my grandpa for over an hour and turns out he was also an avid fisherman. Long story short, the manager ended up PAYING for a full day charter trip for my Grandpa and I on Lake Buena Vista (before all their algae issues that killed all the fish) and then the next day, took us to his fucking lake house and let us use his own fucking boat to fish on his private lake all day. Disney made a fan for life that day, and it had nothing to do with their product. It was WHO they hired

I was staying at Port Orleans and fished every morning I was there before the wife and kids got up to go to the parks On my last morning I was told by a cast member I couldn’t fish from the banks and I would have to buy a “bass fishing experience “ for like two hundred bucks . I swear Disney can ruin anything

Hey Jon u should try bass fishing in North Carolina where I live I have a little pond down the road from me where I catch 4s and occasionally 6 pound bass at u got to come during the spring or summer though
Great content and quality of, however after watching a few vids I'm a little turned off to the rough way you unhook and release fish, try to be a little more gentle with Nature since she's giving you so much life.
they literally rent you fishing poles and cane poles at the campground lol they shouldnt tell you no fishing, but yes unfortunately the fencing was put up after the incident with the child. Crazy. i grew up playing the same location every year in the water. heartbreaking.
please next time pay for the excursion and go fish bay lake and the Seven seas lagoon. way better fishing and definitely worth the price. it isnt that much for Disney standards.

Pretty sure you can still pay to bass fish at the Grand Floridian right next to Magic Kingdom. You get to take a boat out on seven seas lagoon and fish. Not sure the $ or what, but it’s a thing

that does kind of suck cuz one tourist let their child near dangeours waters yoyu cant just got fish however you want to on the campgrounds their, national parks dont have to do that but national parks also arent multi billion dollar corpos calling themselves "happiest place on earth". kids cant get eaten at the happiest place on earth. not exactly in the name but its implied
I don't know how busy you are but they are stalking a pond here full of trout for around 2 months. Nowhere like the ones you've caught but just if you get bored
If you go ninja style at night you can go a lot of places that disney would never think to look. We camped a lot at Ft Wilderness and we'd get blacked out and sneak around to fish.
