SNES Longplay [118] Hyper Iria 

Iria deserves an open world modern game, respecting the script and characters and world traveling. After watching the anime for the first time it is sad to see it was forgotten.

Had no idea they made a game for this OVA. It looks fun, too!

The characters in Hagane: The Final Conflict where also designed by Iria's designer, Keita Amemiya.

This game is good too, but I wish the sprite were bigger to show off Aria's umm...weaponry! That's it. Too bad the anime never caught fire, it's great!

I've thought of cosplaying Iria.

I feel like it would be better as a beat em up more thsn a platformer, especially with more emphasis on boss fights with a variety of other bounty hunters and mutants besides the primary version of Zeirum as bosses.

I remember SNESdrunk covering this game, so I had to check it out...years later.

A mighty fine game! Though too bad the shoot'em up sections were really lacking. For how few there were in the game. I would have liked them to be a bit more on par in quality to the rest of the game.

Kudos on being able to figure out what the hell is going on. I tried to play this in the 7th grade and the language barrier was too much.

THIS EXISTS???? HOLY SHIT!!!!! i always loved this anime since i was a kid. Maybe the reason i am in to redheads now. :-)

I loved the labyrinth levels! There was few other action games in the NES, SNES era that gave you both fast-paced combat and an atmospheric exploration feel. Metroid was the obvious example, but I thought the labyrinths were done better in this game (feel more natural, and yet harder to figure out). Also this was one of the few games from that time featuring a strong female lead.

After seeing the anime series, this game makes both more sense and less sense. The weapons, items, and NPCs in the game, as well as many of the enemy designs, come from the anime. On the other hand, the story of the game seems to be totally different from the anime. The energy weapon in the game is also way too weak for its cost compared to the other rifles - but in the anime, it was the most OP weapon ever.
