It's actually been kind of difficult finding strategy info and character analysis for this game so thanks for the links ! Also it's a breath of fresh air finding people like yourself who love this game and teach it without some negative spin they've been parroting for years.
this is a game i learned to appreciate over time the more i played it. It’s 100% jank but it’s also still a historical fighting landmark thanks for watching hope i helped!
One more thing about Exceed - You need your health lower than 50% to be able to use it. Your character name will be flashing when the game let's you access, so once you use it the name won't be flashing anymore until your next game. If you set your settings to infinite Exceed, the name will keep flashing.
I’m here, specifically for (max mode) and “guard-cancel step” lol I’m doing pretty well in this game in casuals. Particularly, because I understand the fundamentals. But, the 1 thing I was lacking. Was that. Had no idea how to do that. Thank you. Extremely, informative video here.
I have dabbled in this game for a while and I'm now fully appreciating this game after so long. This game has been in my life since high school and I've only touched it every maybe once in a few years. But honestly thanks to Capcom vs SNK 2 and me playing it again eventually picking up Iori Yagami I've actually taken a journey to play a lot of the old S&k games that I liked before just through the lens of an Iori newbie. Throughout that experience I can definitely say It's truly is a gem and deserved its right to come back. If there is any way for code mystics or the company SNK to give tiny updates to this game it'd be great if they fix just those tiny issues and bugs and quality of life additiond then I think it's perfect to be left the way it is onwards.
After seeing your exhibition video, TNS, and then this now I understand why safe moves are rampant. you have to take turn by yourself esp during blocking multi hitting move. This is seriously cool and deserves the name 'chaos' indeed. also, this defensive option reminds me of Tohou Hishoutensoku. the mind game is also run on when enemy going to break from pressure so lots of close range engagement were reading on how long will the string continue or stop.
Dude thank you so much! Been playing all Street Fighter since SNES and saw this and bought it but didnt know wtf I was doing. Tried to play it like Street Fighter. 😂 About to lab Violent Ken thanks to your guide!
I used to play this back in ps1 as a kid. My dad was big on fighting games of that era and ge got me into it. I bought this say day 1 on ps5 and wow ive been grinding it alot. It holds up so good.
I bought this game and played around enough to figure some of this stuff out. Still its nice to have a guide that explains certain mechanics. I'm really enjoying the online play. Still learning how to master the guard cancel dash step.
Big help . Just got this game on switch and went on a 28 losing streak online. Got rolled consistently. We'll see how I do after applying this knowledge You just slapped onto me..
A lot of people seem to be speaking a great deal about how broken this game was/is as though it was an anomaly when all SNK games were busted in the arcades and fixed for home.
looking at Ryu, and this is purely speculation but it seems like they wanted to put SF2 version of him in this game judging by the idle stance and normals
@@TheLegendRome yeah the same can be said for CvS 1, 2 and match of the millennium despite the latter actually having the animation on the intro files vs Kyo. There's no reason to select anything that's not the SF3 version but Im thinking it's the alpha version since he kept his hop kick in all these but not the moves I mentioned
never played this one before, but the inclusion of GBA Zero always interested me. Picked up the steam release, man this game's roster is horrendously unbalanced lmao
