I really like the 'cone effect' on pro and above, it's so much better than the old games where you only have a perfect aim or no aim at all. I really like the thought that's gone into this game and can't wait to try it. I look forward to seeing if it's affected by using a lowly ranked player in career mode.

Cheers for this vid, even easier to understand being a fellow geordie! Just wish there was a cueball landing zone like on World Championship Snooker. I find I'm over running my shots which is a bit of a sod when doing safety shots. Subscribed 👍

For anyone who would like this game, there is something similar on android called snooker stars. I've played over 4000 matches on it, the physics is on point.

The problem I have with the aiming aids is that they can tell you roughly where your cue ball is going when playing a straight shot, but if you're trying to bank your cue ball off two cushions to get out of a tight snooker, you're on your own. No way to accurately judge those shots, unless you have plenty of experience beforehand in either real snooker or a similar computer game. It just feels like a bad oversight on the part of the developers.

I’ve just downloaded the game to my Xbox and it’s pretty tough going but I’m guessing that practice is the only tip i can get.

So with pro aiming aid you get to see how far the cue ball will travel as well as the direction but then master takes them both away? There should be a difficulty in between where you still get the direction of the cue ball but not how far it will travel so you have to judge power

I find it difficult to judge where the cue ball will finish as the white line only shows direction not distance and the power gauge doesn't seem to help much. Also no top down view makes lining up shots very difficult, i often aim and it looks as if its bang on to pocket but wobbles in the jaws and does not drop. Would prefer a position indicator like snooker nation..on easier level at least.

Defo need a top down view. I also think the camera should cut to front view before the shot is taken as a lot of the time the action is out of shot when zoomed in. And it's also annoying when the player is stood in front of the table blocking the view. Still an enjoyable game and hopefully in time these little things will be rectified.

Great video. Love your content. I was pleasantly surprised to hear the crowd reacting to when you missed hitting the blue. They should be able to react like that when you miss long pots, like they do in real life, and if you miss an absolute sitter they should react similarly but louder! Would add some much needed life to the game! Visuals are sound, just the gameplay needs improving. Should be getting my copy tomorrow!

I find aiming terrible there seems to be a difference between overhead aiming line and point of view line and miss easy shots because of it!!

Would like the option of actually cueing the shot in first-person view by pulling back on the analogue stick or something like the snooker nation controls

CaptainGoodspeed I agree it is cool. As Shaun Murphy mentioned this game could be a great training aid for beginners to line up their shots and see the effect of spin on the ball, think the addition of a first-person option would be good for this aspect, keep up the good vids mate, enjoying them!

@@Ryan-r Lol I highly doubt that will be added anytime soon. I rather they perfected the gameplay. It needs a lot of work. They can then add new features but simple things like ball sounds need addressing asap

Just bought and played this game. Graphics are lush especially up close. Controls are fun and addictive. No online working yet though so not sure if theres a private lobby? Hope so. Just one downer..theres an annoying white flash as you see in the video after a player has taken a shot...If they can get rid of that its great!

Yes, in Career Mode, you can unlock stuff from doing things online I believe (or mayeb in career too)

Shorter aiming aid and more fanning on cut shots. Much smaller sweet spot too

Pro+ onwards is way too hard. How are you getting on with the aiming aids? Pro is good for me but trying pro+ atm as most tournaments are played in pro+

No, the easy, medium hard just separates the players in to their rankings

I think the fan noise is kinda the games fault. I have a pro as well and certain games cause it to spike. Division 2 beta caused it and its not as bad now. Same in fallout 76 in certain places the fan would sound like a jet engine. Something to do with memory leak I believe.

I have Snooker 19 and the "no aiming aid " is not offered or maybe you did not advise how to set "no aiming aid". I am guessing you need to be on Pro difficulty to get to the No aiming aid ??? Thanks

Nice little video there. Just wanted to say as politely as possible. Try to cut out the amount of errrs you use each sentence. Edit them out or plan out what you want to say. Will make it much easier to listen to what you have to say.

From watching videos it looks like the AI pot some ridiculous shots.. always same with snooker/ these type of games. You want realism but you don’t want an infuriating experience too

My main concern is the poor safety shots by the AI, especially long, they just seem to try and creep it up but it always ends up giving you a shot. Other than that, looks like a solid game. I love snooker I play snooker on a regular basis. .that safety shot the computer does at the end as mark Selby ruins the game for me I been watching all your game play vids and it's the same the ai is poor and u fortunately I won't be buying it ..although it may be good online so ..lol

Probably the worst snooker game when the developers are lames and doesn't allow to win with cheating moves. I often saw the ball being snooker but it always find a direct path. Also the aim even in Amateur is useless.

if I was new to snooker this game would be absolutely useless it does not even tell you what colour you're on another snooker games in the past you would have a ball in the corner with a colour so you knew what you was on I know it should be obvious to people with common knowledge

Arcade snooker games have better aiming than this, even on amateur difficulty it’s next to impossible to win a match. Snooker national championship is better than this and it’s $14. Who gives a fuck about TV style commentary. The game is total shit, I have tried everything to be good at this and the CPU flogs me every time

@@CaptainGoodspeed are those played avid snooker players? Because not everyone is a professional player and this game does not allow for any gradual progression. There was a played on this game who was ranked 150 hitting shots like he was Judd trump? Humans miss, these guys rarely do. And when it comes time for you to shoot, the angle and bank shots beyond hard.

They obviously aren't professional but I'm sure some play the game at the local club, but not to anywhere near the standard you can play on the video game.

@@CaptainGoodspeed Yeah ok, well take it from me who has played tournaments. A player ranked 150 isn’t hitting the same breaks as say a ranked 2 Neil Robertson for example. The AI messed up, the aiming although has improved it doesn’t allow for newcomers. If they adjusted the AI to reflect on their rank level or introduction of a stats system like other games than it would be a lot better.
