Soon as I seen this snooker dart board in a photo I knew I needed to look into it a bit more and have a throw on it. Not a clue how snooker works which would probably have made it better but this was a really fun novelty board.

You have 1 dart per "ball". If you miss, its end of the break.

I also realize you can get a really sadistic practice round by turning board, so you DON'T have the usual up-n-down-line. Imagine turning the board 70 degrees! It might be the toughest snooker game ever? Just a thought.....

I genuinely think you'd be mightily impressed by some of the psychedelic (yet ordinarily functioning) dartboards on zazzle. I found em by searching "turquoise dartboard", got one over Yuletide and am not disappointed. Amazing designs but standard dartboard scoring layout.

this would be better if the colours were different sizes, (yellow biggest black smallest) otherwise you might as well go red-black-red-black etc. ever time

I have a pool dartboard somewhere, basically you had to hit a white ball with a dart and then one of spots or stripes to 'pot' one of them, once you had potted all 7, you then had to go for your specific black ball which was to the left or right of the centre. Smack in the centre was a 'snooker' where your opponent had to hit before they could start to pot again. If they missed in their go you had a free shot and any of your remaining balls without the need to hit a white first. Will try and get a picture of it, if I can find it

red ball 1 point , yellow 2, green 3 brown 4 blue 5 pink 6 black 7, you can only pot a colour after a red, as soon as you miss your turn is over, so really at the start when you missed blue your score would have been 1 for the red then it would be your opponants turn. not that i know anything about this dartboard but i knw snooker. i come to see this after your recent golf board vid. looks pretty cool, bit expensive tho.

That's cool. I want to try doubles board sometimes. And you too, Edgar? Actually ignoring trebles and scoring only doubles and singles on standard board helped me scoring better and hitting double tops.

@@Edgartvdarts Oh yes. My problem is that darts go too low. If first one go low, I often make good group below treble. Annoying. But it's easier for me to go "uphill" than if first dart is above treble.

There is actually a video by a reseller where they state that the black ball resembles double 20, pink the bulls eye etc. Therefore I guess it really could be pretty useful for training !

Should be hitting a red then the pocket to pocket that red and eliminate it by using pins provided then nominate a colour then pocket it etc then back on red etc till tables cleared basically

I believe it is if you are behind on points and need “snookers” to win. If you hit the red at the bottom and your opponent doesn’t then you end up getting 4 points for them fouling.

What's harder: a nine darter or a 147 break?

Although it is difficult to tel because both are different & difficult in their own way, we see less 9 darters in tournaments, so this suggests they are the harder achievement. Snooker players often turn down a 147 because winning the frame is usually more important. When they run slightly out of position, they take (or play for) an easier lesser colour to keep the break going rather than a more difficult black. In darts, there is no reason to not go for a 9 darter yet these are still less frequent.

I like this idea but for 50 quid? You could play it on a standard board by just nominating the numbers to the colours.

Red: 1 Yellow: 2 Green: 3 Brown: 4 Blue: 5 Pink: 6 Black: 7 When all reds are out of the game you start on yellow, go to green etc until you are on black. A break of 147 is the max.

My name is David Garrett and I am the original inventor and designer of the Snooker / Darts game called Dartoball - the exact game shown in this video. This game has now been copied and re-named "Snooker Dart". My original game was patented back in 1985 and we have all the various paperwork dating back to our original invention of Dartoball. Indeed it was played at the time by the two leading players in each of the two sports - Steve Davies and Eric Bristow at a major charity event. The original game can also be seen with my two sons playing the game in an original video made over thirty years ago, you tap in DARTOBALL into the RU-vid search box. I Felt that I should bring to the attention of all, that the game shown in this video as stated is designed and invented by myself - David Garrett not the company who's name appears on the top of the board where my name used to be.

u can play snooker in a regular board... use like 1-15 as reds or something and use 16-20 as ur pinks and blue etc... hit a red, then a color.. and so on...
