@kauaihanalei I was using the one for SLR (called model 455 on their website). i bought it from an online shop (expansys) for 117 € including shipping. (I still have it, but since it already cost me my camera after 3 days, I'm not sure about using it again...)
@dasgemuse Yes it leaked, brand new 500D was a total loss. At the beginning I tried to focus manually by turning the ring through the plastic. I got superb results by simply keeping the autofocus on (I mean for still photography).
