Very nice day! I enjoyed the sea turtle very much. My experience snorkeling at Black Rock wasn't great because of the intense waves. I got scraped up pretty good.
Awesome day, congrats to your sister for giving snorkeling a try! We thoroughly enjoyed our day at Black Rock a few weeks ago. Loved watching the people jump off. My youngest would only do it if his older brother did it with him but unfortunately he was badly sunburned from our beach day at Kamoele II a few days prior so he didn’t want to leave from under the umbrella so unfortunately neither of my kids jumped which was the main reason we drove up there from Kihei but we still loved the day, the water is MUCH prettier there than in Kihei. You are rockin that tan Dayna!
That’s too bad your son was too sunburned the day you went to Black Rock! Good to know about that beach being better than in Kihei. I’ve wondered if it’d be worth going down there, but sounds like the north end is really better!! Or “Mo’ Betta” as they say! Ha!
@@daynacreates1105 We only went to Kamoele Park II in Kihei, it was pretty, water wasn’t quite as clear as Black Rock. I wanted to go to a Makena Cove as I’ve heard it’s picturesque but again the week flew by and we didn’t get to half the places I had written down. I definitely see why people say you need a minimum of 10 days to see and do it all. Yah that mineral based, reef safe sunscreen is terrible stuff in my opinion it doesn’t work well at all. My son even said out loud “I don’t know why I’m bothering putting this stuff on, I’ll still burn” and he was right. lol
@@1mama402 yes, it’s not the greatest sunscreen. I think next time I’m going get a rash guard to wear when I’m in the ocean. Then I can have regular sunscreen for the pool.
Dayna, you definitely have me feeling like I am on Maui. You definitely know how to capture the beautiful Maui scenery. Ahhh, so peaceful. I know exactly what screw you were talking about. I wanted to reach through my tv screen and hand you one of mine. 😂 That was so nice of the guy to just give you the screw you needed for your GoPro. Oh that beautiful blue water is reminding me so much of how much I love Maui. I am trying to hint to David that we need to go next year and again in 2027. I know he loves going with me, it’s just such along flight. I told him we could stop in Seattle again and visit you. He says ya that be fun again. So trying to convince him to go next year!! The unit we stayed in was so beautiful and the person we rented from was super nice!! David loved everything about that place!! I think it’s great that Jason took care of things back home so you could go on the trip with your sister. How you’re chilling and hanging out by yourself, is exactly what I do when I go. David loves chilling in the room and going through his work emails while I am out by the pool or beach. That’s great you got some me time for yourself!! I would love to be on that float in that pool about now!! Was it super hot there this time of the year? Oh wow, what a gorgeous rainbow 🌈 And nothing like having a dinner with a view. Lori is one of my followers here, and I'd been getting advice of different hotels to stay in earlier this year. Then when it became a possibility for me to go, we started to really narrow it down to where I could stay. Then it was easy to reach out to her for other ideas. She was super helpful! I wouldn't have come up with those places to visit.
