@@paulcallen6129 you can tell how someone holds they wheel if they own it or not sometimes. The more relaxed the driving position the more familiar they are with the vehicle. Cops use the same idea when pulling someone over.

Pretty sure the opposite actually happened here and sediment from the bridge above gave him a sudden patch of traction halfway thru the slide. Instead of continuing to slide sideways, he got grip and launched forward off the road. Regardless, be careful around bridges. I always scope out the section of road before doing this so I know where there is/isn’t grip. Important information to have 👍🏼

@@CoDplayer458458 nah it def came from him hitting straight ice. The car didnt launch off the road you can see he oversteerd a little bit and had the truck completely sideways which ended up with him not being able to turn back the other direction to counter it since it was just all ice 😂

@@renk4240 manual transmission has dry connection (the clutch) going through simple gearset and to the wheels, this means manual transmission vehicles WILL ALWAYS PUT MORE HORSEPOWER TO THE WHEELS then an automatic transmission since autos use either a Torque converter (fluid coupling) or a DCT (wet multiplate clutch pack) and then through a heavy planetary gear set and then to the wheels, which means automatic transmission vehicles always weigh more as well, that being said automatics nowadays shift WAY faster then a person can but that is basically the only advantage. You always lose horsepower going auto and always adding at least 100 pounds of weight

Interesting. For me it's quite the opposite. Snow is much more easy and predictable than drifting on asphalt. You also need much less power to do so it's a great way to learn. In this case it's because of the ice.

Was doing a backroad mountain run at 120 kmh at -15*C with a ton of snow a few days ago and i felt pretty confident. Also drifting around in the snow is real fun. Ice is what i fear the most.

I like sliding, but molstly slower ones, and i like having tires so i limit myself to when it is slick already. Id practice in snow, but not at the speed this guy was gping for sure
