Snow Summit Bike Park's opening day came a day late. After snow covers their trails on Friday, the bike park opens the following day on Saturday. Kelly and I go up to do laps on Party Wave to Westridge, our favorite DH run at Snow Summit.

Despite the delayed opening of Snow Summit Bike Park, opening day is still opening day! Hella fun time riding Party Wave to Westridge with Kelly and enjoying the sight of snow on the side of the trails. Already too excited about next weekend! Yew! 🤘🏽

Looks like a Bronson. They are known to have a soft rear end and will make it feel like you need to get forward more on jumps. If so, you can speed up your rebound for more pop or add a volume spacer or 2.

For me, at the moment, it's the funnest run in the park. The other trails are definitely a blast, but Party Wave to Westridge just delivers every time! I gotta start hitting Miracle Mile more often. Look up Tommy Huynh or Dylan Stark's run on that trail. Cray!

Rad video Alan! My buddy and I went to Greer today and TMB is Gnarly! The jumps and berms on the lower section before the road crossing are super sick though. I also cleared all of the jumps on jumping mouse and almost everything on overdrive! Looks like everybody had a good weekend!

How much harder are those jumps vs the average Joes jump line? I can do all the average Joes jumps, but scared to hit those on party wave. Any tips?

Yo...not hard at all. Except for the wood jump at the beginning, they're all tables. Depending on your comfort with rock gardens, I'd be more attentive to keeping momentum at places like the rock garden to drop at 6:00. But yeah...the dirt jumps are all fully roll-able. Hope that helps!

Hey Alan! Nice riding bro, i was just there today and those jumps are so fun to hit, much bigger than they look on here lol. Question for ya, when the reopen the following year, do they try to smooth out the trails a little bit? They were pretty rough today. Thanks!

Thanks! Stoked you’re hitting it up at Snow Summit. The trails are definitely smoother on opening weekend. But it doesn’t last long. I’m guessing that trail maintenance is limited by the general lack of rain. I do adjust my suspension settings for the chatter. What trails did you find to be the roughest?

Aw man! The Recluse is still a rad bike! I changed because I wanted a bit more travel, and I dig the new lower-linkage set-up that Santa Cruz is using. Really similar feel but more plush. Rock that Recluse! It's such a good bike! If haven't already, upgrade the wheels to something with a 30mm internal width. I put the Santa Cruz Reserve wheels on mine, and that made it a more capable bike!

MTB ALAN Thanks man. I also like the SC. I just bought the Frame and Ride it with the Reserve wheelset from the Start on. And i understand your wish for more travel and a softer back. For me its my trail bike. I also have an Enduro/Freerider with 180/175. so im in another position. Love your videos anyway.
