@@Dawn-Songswhat are you implying? The fleece wasn't that long & done in the correct time (yearly), and appropriately before she gives birth, so the fleece doesn't get "sticky" with birthing fluids. Why wouldn't the ewe (or lamb) live a long happy life?
She makes it cool. I watched others do it and it's torture to the sheep. Especially the nicks and the blood. The sheep are in distress and it stressed me out. Not with her though.
"There we go" what a sweet hug at the end. I loved how you held her head during part of the shearing. Seemed so reassuring to her, as opposed to just 'making her hold still' or something. That looked like a heavy and dense fleece, with a good sized amount of lanolin, if not just the lighting and color seeming more on the yellow tinted side.
The look of love and the comfort that they have for you can't be faked. I just love your soul so much I could cry. My heart Chakra thanks you too. You lower my blood pressure. So sweet 💜💜💜 Thank you my love. Your partner too. ❤ 🙂
I just saw you video when you said some viewer called you toxic to the animals,. That is a load of donkey dung. I have never seen a shearer more gentle and caring of the animals they work with than you and your wife. Haters aren’t happy unless unless they are hating someone or something. Keep on doing what you do. You are amazing
Hi to both of you, I hope you are both doing well and enjoying the Summer wherever you are at the moment. This sheep was so calm waiting for it’s yearly hair cut, having a little tap dance while whatever she was thinking about amused her 😁. I love it when the animals you shear are so pink and white under all the mucky wool on top. Thanks for making my day. Have a relaxing weekend together, even if you have to work be relaxing in the evenings xx ❤️🌻🐝
Video starts; You get her into position & she looks at you like "thank you for being gentle" End of video; She looks at her shorn fleece like "is all that from little 'ol me" 🤣😂
Awwww…look how she was looking at you. They’re so innocent and don’t know what’s coming next. You’re so wonderful to them. I’ve seen some of the people just throwing them around like a bag of trash. Thank you for being so caring to them.
How do you stop yourself from just putting those shears down and and SNUGGLING them?! She is SO SWEET!!! GAH!! (and of course, you basically did at the end, ha)
I am so very happy to see you have reached 2M subs. What an awesome accomplishment. Well done, so proud of you! Yes, I know it's been a little while since I've commented and didn't even realise how big this channel had grown until I saw a short a little while ago and it had , I think? , over 25 million views. How amazing is that. So happy for you. Take care.
You’re not gonna believe this, but, small, homesteading, ranch with sheep, needing to be shared, bought the sheep clippers and sheared a ram. He was unsure at first but if I kept the blade off him he relaxed! What an experience- at the final few touch ups didn’t even need to hold him! So cool when they trust you!
I am glad you asked that and I hope Katie responds or does a Q&A at some point and answers that question because when an animal is shorn really close and you see that pink skin you can't help but worry just a little that they might get sunburned once they're outside again.
Remember my father and mother watching a movie called the The Thorn Birds that was based in Australia. All the men on the sheep ranch had a contest on who was the fastest in sheering a sheep. That's the only part in the movie I seen.
Hey we love your videos ❣️ Suggestion could you put the subtitles for auto-generated all languages on, please. A lot of people who don't speek English would be interested too.
Raising gives some good benefits, the wool can sales it for company to make clothing or blanket sheets for the winter needs. The milk can provide very good nutrition needs for the family and her meat is very tasty when it's about time to get butchered.
