Disney has a knack for finding the most unlikable people for their roles.

Destroying Hollywood is a noble endeavor. You go girl.

Imagine getting to the point where a whole national branch of an industry is going 'We are not going to make anything ever again unless our demands are met' and the reaction of the public is 'That a threat or a promise?'.

I can't even imagine how many passionate actresses have dreamed of playing such an iconic Disney role their entire lives, only to have it stolen by some arrogant hack who doesn't even respect the source material. Must be infuriating. She is everything wrong with modern Disney in a nutshell.

Being considered the new Brie Larson is an achievement no actress should work for.

Her saying she deserves to be paid for every hour that a movies she is in is like saying I should get paid for everyday a person lives in a house that I built. That's so stupid

I’ve never actually seen the original Snow White, but I read a comment somewhere regarding the “stalker prince” in which it was clarified that he doesn’t sneak in a creepy kiss on someone unconscious. He believes she is dead and it is a kiss goodbye. That’s a pretty important detail I think.

I don’t know how she can say she has always loved Snow White when in another interview she said she only seen it once because it terrified her 😂

I can't avoid imagining Zegler like she's advertising a new restaurant as a chef who serves you an extremely bad version of whatever you ordered, claims she hates making food based on ancient recipes from the original owner of such place, spits on it, and then tells you that she's gonna be paid for every gram of food people in that restaurant will eat. Doesn't exactly make people want to go to such restaurant, isn't it?

She’s the perfect embodiment of the modern Disney. The modern Disney hates their past, they hate that their company was built on the traditional femininity role where a woman was loving, caring, flawed, motherly and kind (all traits which modern Disney seem to forget can make a woman strong and empowering) - so every remake attempts to undo this by making a bland “girl boss” which takes these iconic characters, characters that have endured and stood the test of time for decades and turns them into shallow, 2-dimensional, unlikable and forgettable characters that are forgotten within a month. Disney doesn’t want girls to grow up thinking that loving your family or being maternal is empowering - the entire company is poisoned with this mindset and it’s killing it.

Being a trained actor, I learned very early on that unless you are very, very lucky, it rarely pays the bills. It becomes more a labour of love than a job. Actors who actually go on to "make it" with regular, well paid work are in a very privileged position and most, especially actors here in the UK, are humble enough to recognise this. It, therefore, really annoys me when you see actors become so self-important they start to believe that they are bigger than the industry that employs them. OK, so being an actor can, indeed, be extremely hard work if you want to be the best that you can be. However, never, ever are you better than anyone else that grafts for a living. The only difference being is you might be lucky enough to be living with your dream job. As for me, I didn't last long at all. Even though I loved the whole acting experience I decided I liked my home comforts too much and joined the regular workforce, with regular hours and a regular wage.😁

Keep up the interviews Rachel. I’m shorting the Disney shares and the Snow White 2023 movie is the gift that just keeps giving. I cant wait for it to be released and fall flat.

What consent? It was a Woman who put Snow White under. The prince was simply using his prince powers to rescue her from the Evil Woman.

Something about that “non-consensual” kiss: Snow White was literally wishing for a prince. Who in their right minds would wish for a prince to love them, and then turn around and say, “no, no kissing”?

My favorite Snow White was always from Once Upon a Time, she followed the story but still had her own voice still had her price charming still had the 7 dwarfs and still had her Evil queen.

I used to think she should be fired and removed from this movie. But now I think what she really needs is to be in this movie, watch it bomb, watch everybody hating it and knowing it's like that because of her and her big mouth.

All they had to do was change one line to make it she was named for the day she was born. "She was born on the day of a beautiful snow fall. The way the sun reflected from the Snow and cast a White glow across the new babe's face was as if the heavens themselves blessed the child." Like I thought of that in five minutes come on.

There must have been a point in her life when people thought those facial expressions she makes and those little idiosyncratic gestures she does were cute. Boy, did they mess her up.

I think what's "weird" is her interpretation of Snow White. She wasn't stalked and the story wasn't about romance; it was about survival. The prince just happened to be a bonus for her. Like a gift for her dying and coming back. Even the original tale where she was killed three times isn't about love and the prince only shows up after the third time when she's in a glass coffin. She gets saved by the huntsman, saved by the dwarves (twice) and saved by the prince, because her purity cannot see the bad in people even when she shouldn't be trusting of anyone. Now, I don't care for Disney's Snow White, because it doesn't really portray that well, but I certainly don't like someone misinterpreting it so blatantly, either. SW happened to fall in love at first sight with the prince upon waking up. It's not "weird", it was considered romantic back then. It's still considered romantic, even if a little far-fetched. First and foremost, though, Zegler's ignorance of the theme of purity and survival and how being a good person will save you in the end is beyond telling of her and Disney and how blind they've become. I hate this chit. She's not a good person. She's an entitled idiot with a narcissistic streak the size of the rift that separates her eyes. I can't wait for this to sink and her to fail. THAT will be a movie. BTW, Desparu, I love you, I love your vids and commentary and voice, but you really need to go to the dentist. Your chompers are getting darker by the week and it's hard to watch, not to mention worrying. That's not a problem you want to ignore.

In 20 years, "Snow White" (1937) will STILL be beloved, and "Snow Woke" (2024) will be long forgotten. Same goes for Rachel Zegler's "West Side Story." vs. the 1961 version which has way more heart.

The writers strike is peculiar to me, a lot of the stuff we’ve gotten has been absolute crap, mostly Disney ( She-hulk, willow, secret invasion, ant-man,). Is it because the writers arent being properly accommodated so their work suffers? Or is it because the writers are just terrible? On Snow White, i love the original animated movie so much, been watching it over and over after hearing the bullshit that is the live action. The animation is gorgeous and the story is cute and romantic, i love it! Its a story from hundreds of years ago that has been told over and over again, why change it? They changed the Princess and the Frog in a fantastic way and created an awesome story with it. Same with Tangled. This is not snow white, its Latina teen and the 7 random peoples. The Prince never stalked SW he heard her singing and was drawn to the beautiful voice. She ran away and he let her then left her alone. He appears at the end again to wake her up. Rachel was fine about being Maria in West Side Story when Tony literally follows her home, makes sure no one sees him and encourages a much younger woman to come out to the balcony. That is stalking.

Rachel Zegler is beyond insufferable. I'm eagerly awaiting her Snow White film to release and flop in theaters. But it won't just be an 'L' for her and Disney, but also the Barbie director Greta Gerwig who wrote the Snow White's screenplay.

I find this to be incredibly ironic that the first character Disney created making them a movie studio juggernaut will be the same character that will destroy Disney Studio.

Absolutely correct, some of the best shows and movies I’ve seen over the last few years have come from Europe, South Korea, Australia etc. Hollywood has forgot the audience, the fans and reality.

I love how she says she loves Disney and snow white, and in another interview she said she was scared of it as a kid and never watched it again until she was cast in the role. Yeeeeah... If I was 20 years younger I'd have done it happily, snow white was a personal favourite of mine growing up. My kids will know these stories. Another thing is... I bet she's never cracked a book open. The original stories were horrific and fabulously violent. She didn't wake with a kiss, but during childbirth after the prince had his way with her.... I'd rather the Disney version of this story any day 😂

Zeigler is insulting the sensibilities of 8+ decades worth of people. She's calling anyone who liked the OP love story "weird".

The whole moral of the original story was about the superficialness of outward beauty and how a good personality could be more beautiful. It was teaching littld girls to be kind, respectful, feminine, and nuturing. By adding their "modern twist", they completely destroy the themes of the story. What is their version suppose to teach little girls? Boys suck and we don't need them?

Hollywood does not have any so-called writers. Only remakes and lazy writing. At this point 'AI' would create better stories for us. I am American, but love British and Canadian tv and movies. Great writing and stories!

The biggest mistake they made was striking right after they released a ton of terrible content. The public doesn't support them because they feel like they have been doing a bad job. Meanwhile the executives don't want to compromise and pay them more because their companies are losing a ton of money, and if they agree there is a decent chance some of them will go out of business, and they blame the writers because of the terrible content that has been released recently.

I hope this film gets the Netflix Cleopatra treatment. It'll be hilarious. 😂😂

I think in this version of the story, the *7 diverse people of slightly varying height* would’ve hand delivered *No White* to the huntsman themselves, after about 5 seconds with her.

Snow White and Rachel Zegler is the story that refuses to leave the news cycle. Despite the comments being a month old the strike has created an opportunity to focus on what actors have said previously. Rather than new stories covering up older ones without receiving full coverage. It's an interesting insight into how things would be with less actors making the mistakes. They may be more careful if they couldn't just expect someone else to cause everyone to forget about them the next day. But what are your thoughts about Snow White and Rachel Zeglers promotion of it? I was on strike in the early 2000's for my benefits and these actors crossed our picket lines. Effectively making our benefits terrible and then they came after our pay. Now they want me to care about their multi-million dollar jobs? Forget these people.

I'm old enough to remember when the WWII generation was still pretty prolific and in their 60s - 70s. They really went through some truly terrible times; they generally didn't complain 1/100th of the amount that some people who couldn't even fathom what they experienced are currently doing.

I think the biggest controversies over the live-action remakes is that they are NOT remakes. I personally loved the Beauty & the Beast live-action version. I was looking forward to seeing all my childhood favorite Disney princess movies performed by real people. I wanted to see that in reality. But these aren't REMAKES. There are already hundreds of adaptations of these movies. In books and in movies, in cartoons and in live-action. Disney doesn't OWN the tales themselves, just the version that they've created. Snow White is a Grimm's Brother tale, and there are many different versions out there. If some producer wanted to make a "woke" Snow White, people would make fun, revel, and move on. But DISNEY producing an adaptation of their own movie is just...why would you do that? Why take a beloved version and make it different? My generation was looking to relive their nostalgia with a real version of their childhood favorites, but instead, they've made a mockery of them. If I wanted to see an alt Snow White, I'd go watch Snow White and the Huntsman.

Surely the best way to end the actors strike, and help the lower level acting community, is to agree to the "share of streaming revenue" that they want but to remove the upfront salaries the "Stars" get whether the film is a flop or not. They'd be fine with that to help the little guy they are striking for, right?
