Its actually rather easy to escape (as long as you keep your speed) an avalanche as long as the snow under/infront you does not turn into an avalanche (like 1:40) backflip is still cool tho (skiing outside the marked area not tho like 1:40 proves) edit: a full blown avalanche still takes you (and the village down hill) out no matter what you do.
xavier the snow is still moving your thinking of when people are trapped under even then their are safety fares that melt the snow around you. He could have still snowboarded in that would have been tough though
The backflip while being chased by an avalanche he must not of known. If you look at the boulder sizes behind him they are roughly the size of a small vehicle.. Looks small on camera but trust me , it is massive in person. This coming from experience.
As you notice an avalanche beginning, remember it might be the last thing you see. You should stop, turn around, and stare at it for a good few seconds.
did the guy at 1:47 make it out ? Edit: I’m sure he probably made it out but I can only imagine how close he would of been to smacking into that big pole on the way done after the avalanche consumed him
@@upsidupsi tell that to the adult Olympians who compete and amaze the world every time winter olympics comes around. They are different sports, neither is better, they are both for whoever wants to do them, i know alot of adults who do both. If you cant snowboard then just say so.
He got taken by that avalanche for sure, so did the people at the bottom. Im sure they sent people out immediately to rescue them. Hopefully they survived
Most are these are just mini avalanches called sluff When you’re ripping up that much pow it’s gotta somewhere! 🤙🏻There’s still a few nasty slabs here!
Everyone talking about 2:00 but not the clip immediat after it, dude fell for over a second and did a 1080 flip and didn’t seem to have friends, I think the guy before survived, avalanche missed his friends, and comments saying they seen updates on him. This guy only saving grace was he had a camera on him
It’s not that hard to imagine why people would think that. There used to be a video game called 1080 avalanche and at the beginning of a certain mode the announcer would yell “avalanche, go!” Lmao and you would have to outrun it. 😂
@@LoganS-qm6yx it's part of big mountain skiing. It's not an avalanche it's called sluff just snow from the turns he makes. He knows he needs to stay in front of it
@@MrBioMega sorry homie, it's spelled slough. It's best you research what slough really is, especially in terms of grading. Definitely not just snow he makes from his turns. To be a big mountain rider you need to be acquainted with how grade and snow is built naturally. It's not a game.
This land is your land and this land is my land From California to the New York island From the redwood forest to the Gulf Stream waters This land was made for you and me As I went walking that ribbon of highway I saw above me that endless skyway Saw below me that golden valley This land was made for you and me I roamed and rambled and I've followed my footsteps To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts All around me a voice was sounding This land was made for you and me When the sun come shining, then I was strolling And the wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling The voice was chanting as the fog was lifting This land was made for you and me This land is your land and this land is my land From California to the New York island From the redwood forest to the Gulf Stream waters This land was made for you and me When the sun come shining, then I was strolling And the wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling The voice come a-chanting and the fog was lifting This land was made for you and me 🎶
