So Sia came out with this movie called Music about an autistic girl, but she refused to hire an autistic actor because "they can't act." (Her words, not mine) Instead she hired a teenager Maddie Ziegler who she, a grown adult has a strange obsession with. From what I've heard, the representation was absolutely terrible. I will do anything to not support sia. So i will support any artist who does a mix of sias songs. Sia is a crappy human overall and anyone who does mixes like this i will support.

​ @Royal Nora yes, fans requested and then voted for this song and a few others (this is the only sia request). i even asked if i should still release due to the controversy around sia's movie as it was released after the cover was produced, and i'm disappointed that she has STILL not addressed everything. ultimately listeners on social media voted for me to still release. i haven't found a way to do it directly on youtube, but i can set up fundraising for a reputable Autism nonprofit on Spotify, but which charity is not horrible has been a REAL debate / issue. if you or anyone passing by this comment has any suggestions for which one may do the most good, that would help. then proceeds for this release will go to supporting them edit: alright, platforms make it super difficult to set up fundraising exactly how you want (ideally i'd have revenue going directly from streams to the cause) so i had to do it best i could. for the month of April i've set up a fundraising link to the National Autistic Society on Spotify, and the link to streaming services from this cover includes a donation link to ASAN (thank you sm for the help!) which i've also donated to myself it was really hard to decide exactly how to handle this, i tend to be a bit naïve i guess when it comes to these things - i was really hoping her intentions with the movie (which i haven't seen) were good and she just didn't understand how hurtful it is? i thought for sure she'd come out and apologize, pull the film .. but .. to intentional completely shut out the opposition (leaves twitter and blocks comments elsewhere??!), to still release the movie after it's undeniable to everyone it's doing harm and completely tone deaf .. it's just sad??? on instagram i asked for song suggestions to thank everyone on TikTok for shouting out my profile so many times last and this year. since my insta audience is mostly from TikTok now i think Snowman was suggested heavily since it was a challenge there? so my personal intention was just to say thank you so much to everyone and cover a song they really wanted, but i realize the timing with the movie and everything is just horrible v: i'm genuinely sorry for that, i hope it's understood at least a bit more that there's no correlation and i don't support Sia's actions

It shows how much you care that you debated if you should even post this cover because of the release of "music" and that you did a lot of research to make sure that you donated to a reputable autistic friendly non profit like asan. Your voice is beautiful and I'm glad that I could listen to you sing this song, because it's still a good song. It's unfortunate that Sia didn't work with asan and made a really triggering movie. I refuse to watch it personally because the trailer was triggering enough but I'mglad you don't condone her actions. Thank you for this cover
