The TUZ 16 'Actaeon' has a unique ability, but does this Russian Unimog wannabe make sense in SnowRunner? I finally decided to finish my review now that the Active suspension upgrade is, erm, active.

HOW DO I GET THE SNOWRUNNER PTS?
You have to have the PC version from the Epic Game Store. Then download the separate PTS client and run it. You can duplicate your save game so you don't have to redo things.

It lives in Lake Kovd, simply drive up to it and change vehicle to make it yours. Lake Kovd is part of the Season Pass. MapRunner.info is great for the exact location.

Fun facts about the TUZ 16 ACTEAEON: 1. It was featured in all the previous spintires games, under a dfferent name, of course 2. The real counterpart, the GAZ 66 has one of the lowest revving petrol engines, the reason being it was built for torque 3. You can get one of these IRL for only about 10k, though it's gonna cost you in different ways, mainly repairs and fuel 4. If you don't want to spend 10k, there is a 30-ish dollar RC model, I've seen it, but don't really know how good it is

@@JP11155 No, of course not, I don't even have a driver's licence, but I saw a listing on a service that imports those old military trucks, and if I remember it was about 10k (rather less than more). I don't even know the link, or name of the website. I think it sorta goes like that, army gets new equipment, so they put the old equipment on an auction, most is useless so gets scrapped, private people pick out what's interesting, some use it themself for farming, construction, and collectors, uninformed won't really have a chance probably.

Been waiting for this review and it didn't disappoint, this truck is my fave. I have found it so useful, especially with the fuel tank add on and autonomous scout for a happy afternoon of exploring on occasions. With a bit of determination it can get to most places. Great truck.

I think that's it, you need determination because it has its quirks. Maybe the mud tyres should be a little better, I think the Apache is better in this regard which seems odd.

Tuz 16 works best with active suspension and medium tires it's way less tippy because is lower and if you see big bad mud you just raise it and lock the diff and go On imandra maps chained tires work better than AMHS AMHS tires don't have ass good statistics as the TMHS from tayga king even if they look the same. So equipping offroad tires specially this with tractor look a like tread (middle option) works pretty good especially when there is lot of asphalt and ground roads. Equipping off-road may also help with fuel consumption

I dismissed this thing when I first saw it but figured it might be a good throwaway truck for generator duty since you always need to turn those back on after closing a session. After that it became my go-to scout, supply line truck and first response rescue vehicle.

This is one of my absolute favorites. I use it as a bigger better scout. And for long distance missions I love to load it on the back of my international twin steer with the fuel carrier attachment. 🙌💯

You're damn right about Unimog! This small offroad monster also has to be in Snowrunner! But, i'm affraid, that we'll see it only at mods... like HEMTT, TATRA-813, K-701 and others offroad vehicles...

I love small trucks in this game. I use the ZikZ612H because it’s an absolute UNIT. I also enjoy using the Azov. I think I’m going to grab this truck.

I like this truck as a scout. I run the fuel tanker, mud tires, and autonomous winch. The autonomous winch is a must because its so tippy. Also roof rack allows some repair points and more fuel.

try using the mid size mud tires on stock suspension, for stability reasons, also try using the smaller engines as ive found the stock “60” engine to be very good

It's definitely not the worst, it just needs to be a little better off-road I think.

This and the Warthog are the only two trucks I use the Tayga tires on, as those two need them for the stability. It's a shame neither of these trucks has a set of dual rear offroad tires. While dual rears don't offer stability quite on par with the Tayga tires, duals are still very good good and much more stable then single rears. I also find duals perform better offroad then the Tayga tires. I think Sabre needs to patch the Tayga tires really. They are mud tires that, honestly really under-perform in mud. I mean yea they are better then the tiny single rears that the Actaeon and Warthog has, but any time you have a truck that offers you the option of dual offroads, I find it's better to go with the dual offroads then a mud tire. Something about the big wide mud tires, it just doesn't feel right. It's like they don't actually get the grip that they should be getting. This is why I'm personally not that hyped about the ANK. Because I'll probably just be stricking to the dual rears anyway. Maybe some day Sabre will figure out why the Tayga tires aren't performing as good as stats say they should.

I actually used this for the Drowned islands contest fire in a barrel (jeeze I hope I used the correct location and name, not near my playstation to check) only problem i had was I needed to fuel up along the way from Smithville dam and the steering with those ballon tires caused some irritation on the paved roads Otherwise during the actual contest it was fun to use and was overall a ok pick for the task I gave it Though seeing this video and have driven it that distance for that contest I can say I probably will be choosing it when I'm glancing at the 750, and thinking "that isn't small enough for this small cargo task"

George Round you have to find the active suspension upgrade for it I think it’s somewhere in alaska if Im not mistaken but im not 100% sure you can search for it on the maprunner site it helps a lot

Am I the only one who thinks the Tayga is kind of disappointing? I've tried using it in Russia and it gets bogged down even with its special tyres equipped. The Dan cuts through mud way better.

well see that's just the thing, Its one of the best scouts in the game especially once you put the fuel tanker on it. I agree its not the best option for hauling cargo around, i just think this truck is in the wrong category.
